Abstract

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) have become essential components of digital marketing strategies, particularly for businesses aiming to enhance their online visibility and competitiveness in an increasingly saturated digital marketplace. This study explores how SEO and SEM can be effectively implemented to improve a business's discoverability, brand awareness, and ultimately drive customer engagement and conversions. The paper examines the principles of SEO—such as keyword optimization, content relevance, backlink quality—and how they contribute to organic search rankings. In parallel, the effectiveness of SEM practices, including paid search advertising, keyword bidding, and ad targeting strategies, is analyzed to evaluate how they complement organic efforts. Using a mixed-method approach that includes literature review and industry case studies, the study identifies best practices, common challenges, and key performance indicators (KPIs) used to measure success. The findings suggest that an integrated SEO and SEM approach yields the most substantial improvements in traffic quality and business visibility when strategies are aligned with user intent and market trends. The paper concludes with actionable recommendations for digital marketers to optimize both organic and paid search efforts in synergy, thereby enhancing long-term business growth and digital footprint.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become a major catalyst for digital transformation in Indonesia. However, the accelerated adoption of AI has not been matched by regulatory readiness, especially in the legal and cybersecurity aspects. The national legal framework is still sectoral and has not been able to address the complexity of risks from AI systems implemented in various public and private sectors. This research aims to: (1) identify regulatory weaknesses in monitoring the use of AI in Indonesia; (2) formulate an integrative legal framework between AI regulation and cyber law that is adaptive to technological developments; and (3) provide policy recommendations based on international practices. This research method uses a normative-empirical legal approach with a combination of documentation studies, comparative analysis of international regulations, and semi-structured interviews with experts. The results show that Indonesia experiences significant regulatory gaps, particularly in the application of the principles of transparency, accountability, and AI risk management. Compared to the European Union and the United States, AI regulations in Indonesia are still at the declarative stage without adequate enforcement mechanisms. This study recommends the establishment of a risk-based national legal framework accompanied by the strengthening of independent oversight institutions, AI technical standards, and multi-stakeholder involvement in the regulatory process. These findings are expected to serve as the basis for the development of legal policies that are more adaptive, responsive, and secure to advances in AI technology and the dynamics of cyber threats in Indonesia.

Abstract

The environmental crisis triggered by plastic waste has become a global problem that threatens the sustainability of ecosystems and human health. Accumulated plastic waste causes damage to flora and fauna, disrupts marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and exacerbates climate change. At the local level, Kuningan Regency faces similar challenges by producing 121,940.66 tons of waste per day in 2015. The SAPUKU program launched by the Kuningan Regency Government aims to address this problem through a collective approach that involves all elements of society. This research aims to analyze the impact of the SAPUKU program on the economic empowerment of local communities and identify its success factors. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive design, collecting data through surveys and interviews. The results showed that the program successfully increased community income through the management of recycled plastic waste, increased environmental awareness, and strengthened community involvement. However, challenges related to recycling facilities and infrastructure are still obstacles that need to be improved. This research contributes to the development of community-based waste management policies, supports the circular economy, and enriches the theory of environment-based economic empowerment.
