Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system so that the body is susceptible to various diseases. While AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is a collection of symptoms or diseases caused by decreased immunity due to infection by the HIV virus. People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are at high risk of being exposed to the COVID-19 virus, which is also closely related to the immune system. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of PLWHA in carrying out health protocols during the Covid-19 period at the Lima Puluh Health Center in Pekanbaru City in 2021. The type of research was quantitative with a descriptive design. The population in this study were all PLWHA who took drugs and were active at the Limapuluh Pekanbaru Health Center for the July-August 2020 period, totaling 151 people living with HIV. Sampling using the SLOVIN formula with a total of 60 respondents. Univariate data analysis. The results of the study found negative behavior in 34 people (56.7%). It is hoped that respondents will be given health education to comply with health protocols by implementing clean hand washing, wearing masks and keeping a distance

Abstract

The study is motivated by the poor level of regional financial Independence in most regencies/cities of North Sumatra Province, which largely stems from the strong dependence on transfer funds from the central government. It attempts to analyse the impact of local own revenue (LOR), transfer revenue, capital expenditure, and budget surplus (SiLPA) on the financial performance of regional governments. A quantitative approach uses panel data covering five years (2019–2023) from 32 regencies/cities, obtained from the Local Government Financial Reports published by the BPK RI. Data was analysed using panel regression analysis. The data demonstrate that LOR has a significantly positive effect on financial performance, while transfer revenue has a significantly negative impact. In contrast, capital expenditure and SiLPA have no significant effect. Simultaneously, the four independent variables influence financial performance. These findings indicate that efforts to strengthen fiscal Independence should be intensified through optimising LOR and efficiently managing transfer revenues.

Abstract

Hapanasan hot spring, located in Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province, is a natural tourist destination with high potential. Despite its potential, the resource utilization carried out by the community and local government is not yet fully developed. This study aims to analyze the priority factors for developing Hapanasan hot spring. This study collects primary data by observing the area and conducting Forum Group Discussions (FGD). Secondary data was obtained from document studies applied to various data sources such as the Tourism Office, Regional Development Planning Agency, and Non-Governmental Organizations. The method used in this study is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the data is processed with expert choice software. Based on the results of the AHP and the software analysis, the priority for developing natural hot spring tourism in Hapanasanis in the criteria for aspects of tourist objects and attractions with a value of 0.438, while the sub-criteria for the structure of natural tourism is improving facilities and infrastructure with a value of 0.869, and there is an alternative in the form of increasing the capacity of elements of facilities and infrastructure with a value of 0.290.

Abstract

Sampah organik dan sampah plastik dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi lingkungan, karena membuat lingkungan menjadi kotor dan bau.  Untuk mengatasi masalah ini maka sampah organik dan sampah plastik tersebut diolah menjadi produk lain. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh Kelompok Tani Pondok Miri pada bulan Mei 2022. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan praktik daur ulang sampah plastik dan memanfaatkan sampah rumah tangga sebagai medium tanam dan pupuk untuk tanaman obat guna meningkatkan nilai jual dan pendapatan di antara masyarakat, yang diilustrasikan melalui studi kasus di kelompok tani Pondok Miri Asri, Desa Sei Semayang, Sunggal, Deli Serdang. Daur ulang sampah plastik dilakukan dengan menggunakan pipa paralon, botol bekas yang multifungsi untuk menanam tanaman obat, serta galon/gelas air mineral untuk menanam tanaman obat. Pengumpulan sampah plastik, seperti botol plastik, bungkus makanan, bekas pembungkus minyak, bekas gelas plastik, dan sejenisnya, dilakukan di Desa Sei Semayang, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang untuk dijadikan wadah tanam bagi tanaman obat.
