Abstract

The background to the problem of written work in Indonesia is that the quality of research is not yet high due to the large amount of plagiarism and research jockeying. Researchers are required to always prioritize originality of ideas, be able to use research supporting tools and master skills that support research activities. Therefore, research skills training is needed. The aim of this training is so that lecturers and researchers can have the ability to maximize applications to support scientific writing. This activity is aimed at lecturers and students with the aim of assisting in writing scientific articles to be published in international journals. The results of this activity are the ability to apply Mendeley software, avoid plagiarism using Paraphrase and using the Grammarly application. This activity was carried out in the form of training via the zoom application and Whatsapp Group as a means of supporting information

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of improving the quality of education through the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM), which provides autonomy, flexibility, and active participation of all school stakeholders. MTS Miftahul Huda Bekasi was selected as the research site because the school has applied SBM principles in its institutional management and has successfully demonstrated a number of academic and non-academic achievements. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors influencing the implementation of SBM, to describe strategies for managing school resources, and to evaluate its impact on strengthening the quality culture within the madrasa. The research method employed is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, students, and parents, as well as documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that SBM implementation at MTS Miftahul Huda is carried out by involving the active participation of the principal, teachers, staff, students, parents, and the school committee in planning, implementation, and program evaluation. The strategies employed include improving teacher competence through training, applying democratic leadership, strengthening communication with parents, and developing a life skills–based curriculum. The positive impacts of SBM implementation are evident in improved school discipline, increased student learning motivation, the growth of responsibility, and the creation of a conducive learning environment. This study concludes that consistent implementation of School-Based Management is able to strengthen the quality culture at MTS Miftahul Huda Bekasi. Therefore, SBM implementation is recommended to be further enhanced through teacher training support, optimization of the school committee’s role, and expansion of community partnerships.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of the increasing consumptive behavior among adolescents, which is not only influenced by internal factors but also by external factors such as peer group interaction. The research method employed is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population in this study consisted of all 9th-grade students of MTs Miftahul Huda Bekasi, totaling 40 students, with the sampling technique using total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results of the study show that peer interaction has a positive and significant effect on students’ consumptive behavior. This is evidenced by the regression coefficient value of 0.427, a t-count of 3.729 with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, as well as an F-count of 13.905 with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.268, which means that 26.8% of the variation in students’ consumptive behavior is influenced by peer interaction, while the remaining 73.2% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this research. Thus, the higher the intensity of peer interaction, the higher the level of students’ consumptive behavior. The results of this research are expected to provide input for teachers, parents, and schools in guiding students to develop a wiser and more controlled consumption pattern
