Abstract

AbstractThis research focuses on the study of "QS.Al-Fatihah Reception in Islamic Literature in the Middle Ages". This research is motivated by the many phenomena that occur in society that are still thick with the tradition of reciting surah al-Fatihah, including as a talisman, as a treatment such as ruqyah, as a community ritual practice such as tahlilan, etc. These phenomena have become a common tradition among the people. However, many people do not know about the aims, principles, and history of how these practices originated. Therefore, by using the informative and perfomative theory initiated by Sam D. Gill, this study aims to find data from where the initial emergence of these phenomena was responded to by the community, understood and expressed and developed in the community through Islamic literature in the century. mid. This research concludes that from several existing reception books, broadly speaking it can be classified into two types of books. AbstrakPenelitian ini fokus terhadap kajian tentang “Resepsi QS.Al-Fatihah dalam Literatur keIslaman pada Abad Pertengahan”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya fenomena yang terjadi di masyarakat yang masih kental dengan tradisi pembacaan surah al-Fatihah, diantaranya sebagai jimat, sebagai pengobatan seperti ruqyah, sebagai praktek ritual masyarakat seperti tahlilan dan sebagainya. Fenomena-fenomena tersebut sudah menjadi sebuah tradisi yang umum di kalangan masyarakat. Namun, banyak orang yang belum mengetahui tentang tujuan-tujuan, dasar-dasar, dan sejarah awal mulanya praktek-praktek tersebut berasal. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan teori informatif dan perfomatif yang digagas oleh Sam D. Gill maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari data-data darimana awal munculnya fenomena-fenomena tersebut direspon oleh masyarakat, dipahami dan diungkapkan serta berkembang di masyarakat melalui literatur-literatur keIslaman pada masa abad pertengahan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa awal mula munculnya resepsi surah al-Fatihah bersumber dari kitab tafsir, kitab fadhail al-Qur’an, dan kitab ‘amaliyah. Kata Kunci: Penelitian, Surah al-Fatihah, Literatur Abad Pertengahan.

Abstract

The story of Prophet Adam is a narrative that is often repeated in the Qur'an. This repetition is not a shortcoming but rather an advantage, especially in literary language, where it is known as uslub tikrar or the style of repetition. This article is library-based research using a descriptive-analytical method. This article answers questions related to the form of uslub tikrar in the story of Prophet Adam, its interpretation, and its relevance to life. The results of this study conclude that the style of repetition in the story of Prophet Adam does not focus on only one form. There are three forms of repetition (uslub tikrar): the repetition of verses, sentences, and themes. Furthermore, exegetes explain that uslub tikrar in the story of Prophet Adam is not only for emphasis and beauty but also provides a variety of information to complete the story, which is still general in nature. The repetitive style of the story of Prophet Adam has relevant values for life in embodying the ideal human being, such as piety, introspection, commitment and responsibility, and avoiding arrogance.
