Abstract

Utilization of agro-industrial waste such as corn stover can be a solution for farmers. Corn stover has good nutritional content and provides economic benefits to farmers in terms of easy and cost-effective corn cultivation. The aim of this research was to evaluate the quality of corn silage based on different fermentation times. This study employed an experimental approach using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The quality analysis was conducted through proximate analysis to measure the moisture and ash content of corn silage. The fermentation process was carried out on corn plants with different fermentation durations, namely 14, 21, 28, and 35 days. The quality data of silage, including proximate analysis, were analyzed using one-way ANOVA with SPSS 24 software. The research results indicate that the fermentation time using effective microorganisms-4 (EM-4) has an impact on the quality of corn silage as livestock feed, showing the highest improvement during a 14-day fermentation period in terms of protein, fiber, and fat content. However, this silage has a relatively lower carbohydrate content compared to other treatmentsAbstrakPemanfaatan limbah agroindustri seperti tebon jagung dapat menjadi solusi bagi peternak. Tebon jagung memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang baik dan memberikan manfaat ekonomis bagi peternak dalam hal pemeliharaan tanaman jagung yang mudah dan hemat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kualitas silase jagung berdasarkan variasi waktu fermentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 pengulangan. Analisis kualitas dilakukan dengan uji proksimat untuk mengukur kandungan air dan kandungan abu dalam silase jagung. Proses fermentasi dilakukan pada tanaman jagung dengan durasi fermentasi yang berbeda, yaitu 14, 21, 28, dan 35 hari. Data kualitas silase berupa uji proximat dianalisis menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan pengaruh waktu fermentasi dengan penggunaan effective microorganisms-4 (EM-4) terhadap kualitas silase jagung sebagai pakan ternak menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tertinggi pada waktu fermentasi selama 14 hari dalam hal kandungan protein, serat, dan lemak. Namun, silase tersebut memiliki kandungan karbohidrat yang cukup rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya

Abstract

The learning resources used in the learning process only use print media which is limited and does not attract student motivation in the learning process, for this reason learning media is needed that can stimulate student motivation through electronic media in the form of e-workseet. This study aims to develop education for sustainable development (ESD) based biodiversity e-whorksheets learning media products on biodiversity material for class X SMA. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model consisting of 5 stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. This research produced a development product in the form of an ESD-based biodiversity e-whorksheets which was developed based on an assessment from a class X biology teacher at Kasihan 1 Public High School. E-whorksheet was developed with the help of the liveworksheet application. The validation results from the biology teacher were obtained with a percentage of 3.55 with the category "Very Good" in the presentation aspect, the convenience aspect was 3.40 with the criteria "Very Good", the attractiveness aspect was 3.25 with the criteria "Good".
