Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based expert system application using the Certainty Factor method to diagnose pests and diseases in rice plants. The system is designed to assist farmers, particularly in the Barus Subdistrict, Central Tapanuli Regency, in identifying and addressing pest and disease issues that frequently affect rice crops. The development process includes analysis, design, implementation, and testing of the application. Testing results indicate that the application successfully identifies pests and diseases with an accuracy rate of 95%, based on comparisons with manual diagnoses provided by experts. Additionally, the application is user-friendly, allowing farmers to easily select symptoms present in their rice plants and receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate solutions. The user-friendly interface further enhances the ease of use. This study differs from previous research in terms of the types of pests, symptoms, solutions, and the research location.

Abstract

With the increasing penetration of computer networks connected to the internet, the risk of network intrusion is also on the rise. Such intrusions attempt to bypass network security mechanisms. One way to detect intrusions is by analyzing network traffic activities. However, manually analyzing all network data can be cumbersome and time-consuming. You can use decision trees to classify network events based on specific attributes. This enables the creation of rules that can detect anomalies in network traffic patterns. We can develop these rules by mapping network events to unique segments within the decision tree. Constructing rules based on the sequence of segments from the decision tree allows for the identification of intrusion indicators, aiding in detecting intrusion attempts in the network. This approach provides a more efficient means for network analysts to identify abnormal network traffic activities without the need for manual inspection of every data point. Thus, the use of decision trees enhances the capability to detect network intrusions, safeguarding computer networks from increasingly complex and diverse cyber threats. This represents a crucial step in fortifying our digital infrastructure's security.

Abstract

Perjalanan teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan dengan beraneka ragam bidang, sebagai satunya dalam ketegorisasi pendataan barang. Pendataan adalah sumber daya yang dimanfaatkan dalam suatu organisasi ataupun perusahaan dan tergolong juga Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Kelas A Medan. Untuk meningkatkan proses registrasi pendataan barang, kami mengusulkan rancangan aplikasi berbasis web yang akan mempermudah Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Kelas A Medan dalam mencatat dan mengelola inventaris barang mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk menghasilkan suatu sistem informasi penyusunan Laporan Pendataan Barang di Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Kelas A Kota Medan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan MySQL sebagai databasenya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk Memberi kemudahan dalam pembuatan laporan pengeluaran keuangan berdasarkan periode.
