Abstract

Kawasan pesisir tergolong area yang memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap berbagai tekanan dan perubahan lingkungan, baik akibat aktivitas antropogenik seperti proyek pembangunan maupun perubahan iklim. Sebagai respons terhadap kondisi tersebut, upaya konservasi yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan menjadi krusial untuk dilakukan demi mempertahankan keseimbangan ekosistem. Salah satu bentuk intervensi yang dilakukan adalah kegiatan konservasi pantai di Kawasan Nusa Dua dan Tanjung Benoa, yang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan stabilitas garis pantai serta mendukung keberlanjutan fungsi ekologisnya. Kegiatan konservasi pantai di Kawasan Nusa Dua dan Tanjung Benoa memerlukan pemantauan kualitas lingkungan guna mengidentifikasi potensi gangguan terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan ekosistem pesisir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam kerangka Upaya Pemantauan Lingkungan (UPL), dengan fokus pada evaluasi kualitas udara ambien dan inetensitas kebisingan. Pengukuran dilakukan di dua titik pengambilan sampling dengan parameter udara yang ditinjau meliputi SO2, CO, NO2, NH3, H2S, O3, dan TSP. Hasil analisis mengindikasikan bahwa seluruh indikator pencemar udara berada secara signifikan di bawah nilai ambang yang dipersyaratkan. Sebagai contoh, konsentrasi SO2 tercatat sebesar 100 µg/Nm³ dan CO sebesar 10 µg/Nm³. Rata- rata tingkat kebisingan di Pantai Nusa Dua sebesar 60,4 dB dan di Pantai Tanjung Benoa sebesar 65,5 dB, keduanya masih berada dalam kisaran ambang batas 70 dB(A) yang ditetapkan dalam regulasi lingkungan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa aktivitas proyek konservasi belum memberikan tekanan signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan. Pemantauan lanjutan terus diperlakukan sebagai bagian dari pengelolaan adaptif untuk menjamin keberlanjutan proyek serta perlindungan kawasan pesisir yang sensitive secara ekologis.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan siswa melalui sosialisasi Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) merupakan langkah penting dalam membangun kemandirian kesehatan sejak dini. Dengan mengenalkan berbagai jenis tanaman obat beserta manfaatnya, siswa dapat memahami cara memanfaatkan sumber daya alam di sekitar mereka untuk menjaga kesehatan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman guru serta murid mengenai manfaat tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) dalam menjaga kesehatan melalui edukasi dan sosialisasi di SDN 3 Kelurahan Serangan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi pemanfaatan TOGA, serta diskusi interaktif untuk memastikan peserta memahami cara budidaya dan pemanfaatannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta mengenai jenis-jenis TOGA dan manfaatnya dalam pengobatan tradisional serta pola hidup sehat. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan minat dalam membudidayakan TOGA di lingkungan sekolah maupun rumah. Kesimpulannya, edukasi mengenai TOGA efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan masyarakat sekolah, serta dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam mengintegrasikan pemanfaatan TOGA ke dalam gaya hidup sehat.

Abstract

Heart disease continues to be a major contributor to global mortality, highlighting the critical importance of early detection in enhancing patient outcomes. The increasing availability of structured clinical datasets has enabled the application of intelligent systems for risk prediction and diagnostic support. In this paper, the effectiveness of three supervised learning algo- rithms—Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Decision Tree (DT)—is evaluated for the task of heart disease prediction. This investigation is based on the Heart Failure Prediction dataset sourced from the Kaggle platform. The training process for each model involved a 10-fold cross- validation, with its hyperparameters later being tuned using grid search optimization. Model efficacy was measured against standard classification benchmarks, including accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and the area under the ROC curve (AUC). The Random Forest model emerged as the most effective, demon- strating superior performance with an AUC of 0.9517, sensitivity of 81.18%, and specificity of 90.44%. To facilitate clinical use, this model was subsequently integrated into a user-friendly web tool built with the R Shiny framework. The interface allows users to input patient-level clinical data and obtain real-time predictions, along with visualizations of feature importance and risk probability. This implementation bridges the gap between algorithm development and practical application, offering a user- friendly decision support tool for early heart disease screening. The findings affirm that machine learning models, when properly tuned and validated, can serve as effective and interpretable tools in clinical decision-making. This work contributes to the advancement of e-health and the integration of AI-driven models into medical workflows

Abstract

The global energy crisis and Indonesia's dependence on fossil fuels (BBF) have driven the need to explore renewable energy sources. Biogas, as a sustainable solution, is produced through anaerobic degradation of materials with methane (CH₄) 50–75% and carbon dioxide (CO₂) 30–45% as its dominant components. Agro industrial waste such as durian peel shows great potential for biogas production, as Indonesia produces more than 19 thousand tons of durian annually according to the 2024 Statistics Indonesia report. Utilizing durian peel is ideal since its composition (65–80%) is significantly higher than that of the pulp (20–35%) and seeds (5–15%). This study employed a substrate ratio of 5 grams of total solids (TS) + 100 mL of inoculum + 200 mL of distilled water, with intermittent stirring (three times per day, 1 minute per session). The tested temperature variations under thermophilic conditions 40°C, 45°C, and 50°C, including one control without heating. The analysis focused on daily pressure accumulation and gas composition profiles (CH₄ and CO₂). The results show that 40°C (thermophilic condition) achieved maximum efficiency due to optimal methanogenic microbial activity, producing higher methane (CH₄) yield compared to other temperatures. This study contributes to the development of renewable energy from agricultural waste in tropical regions and supports Indonesia’s national energy transition program.

Abstract

This program focuses on enhancing the understanding, skills, and participation of the Besakih Village community, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency, in implementing organic farming systems, particularly in the cultivation of aloe vera. The focus emerged from the low level of awareness and capability among farmers in applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organic farming, which play a crucial role in maintaining environmental sustainability and improving agricultural productivity. The program was designed as a strategic effort to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable plantation management by reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, in collaboration with a private company in the food manufacturing sector, PT. Alove Bali Ind. The activities were conducted in three main stages: education, implementation, and evaluation. The education stage emphasized the dissemination of organic farming benefits and the introduction of aloe vera cultivation SOPs facilitated by PT. Alove Bali Ind. The implementation stage involved direct field assistance to ensure the effective application of land transfer, composting, and plant rejuvenation practices. The evaluation stage was carried out collaboratively among academics, industry partners, and the community to identify challenges and formulate sustainable solutions. Farmer empowerment in adopting organic farming practices increased by approximately 71%, leading to greater income stability and growth within the community. This program serves as an effective model of cross-sector collaboration in developing an environmentally based community empowerment initiative that can be replicated in other regions with similar agricultural potential.
