Abstract

This study aims to analyse the da'wah value of sincerity manifested in the Ruwat Rambut Gimbal ritual in Dieng Kulon Village, Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency. Through a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were obtained from observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and the community. The results showed that the da'wah value of sincerity is reflected in various aspects of the ritual, from preparation to implementation. The sincerity of the community can be seen in the sacrifice of time, energy, material, as well as in the implementation of various ritual stages such as footsteps, cultural carnival, tanning, hair cutting, and hair throwing into Telaga Balekambang. The value of sincerity is also reflected in the willingness of the community to fulfil the requests of dreadlocked children before hair cutting, as well as the involvement of religious leaders in the recitation and prayers that accompany the procession. This ruwatan tradition not only maintains the cultural heritage of the ancestors, but also becomes a means of cultural da'wah, where the community embodies Islamic values in real actions that are sincere and selfless. Thus, the Ruwat Rambut Gimbal ritual in Dieng Kulon represents a form of da'wah bil-hal that blends with community life, making the value of sincerity a spiritual, social and cultural foundation.
