Abstract

The importance of the Arabic language is not limited to being the language of religion; it also plays a significant role in the development of science. However, in practice, teaching Arabic in schools still faces various challenges, including students’ low interest and the use of less engaging teaching methods. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the domino mufrodat method in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among tenth-grade students at Al-Madinah Senior High School Diwek Jombang. The background of this study is based on the low effectiveness of traditional teaching methods, which generally rely only on writing vocabulary on the board. The research questions are: (1) How is the domino game used at Al-Madinah Senior High School Diwek Jombang? (2) How effective is the use of the domino game in mastering vocabulary for students at the school? This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The research sample consisted of tenth-grade students who were given a pretest, followed by treatment using domino mufrodat media, and a posttest afterward. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) The use of domino mufrodat in classroom learning involved several stages, including dividing students into small groups, the teacher explaining the game rules, students playing the game, and the teacher moving around to guide and ensure active participation. After the game ended, there was a reflection session with questions and answers. (2) The average posttest score was higher than the pretest, indicating an improvement in learning outcomes after using the domino mufrodat media. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (pretest significance 0.184; posttest 0.089 > 0.05). The paired t-test showed a significant difference (significance 0.000 < 0.05). The N-Gain score of 0.6893 indicates that the method's effectiveness is in the medium to high category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that using domino mufrodat media is effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery and creating a more active, engaging, and interactive learning atmosphere. This media can also help overcome the assumption that Arabic is a difficult subject.

Abstract

Arabic is a very important foreign language because it is the main key in understanding Islamic texts such as the Qur'an and Sunnah. In today's technological development, digital media plays an important role in the world of education, including in language learning. One form of interesting media is audiovisual multimedia such as animated videos and cartoon films, which not only help understanding but also increase learning motivation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Arabic cartoon film media in improving listening skills (maharah istima') of students at Pondok Pesantren Aqobah Jombang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through pretest and posttest on 29 students of the Arabic Night program. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 16 with normality test, paired t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 69.31 (pretest) to 83.79 (posttest), with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The N-Gain value of 0.5034 or 50.34% is categorized as quite effective.Arabic cartoon film media proved effective in improving listening skills because it presents language in an interesting visual and auditory context and in accordance with the character of adolescents. This media can be an innovative learning alternative in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

ملخص تبحث هذه المقالة في تطبيق طريقة التقليد والتحفيظ في حفظ مفردات العربية لطلّاب فصل السابع في المدرسة المتوسّطة الإسلاميّة الحكومية 15 جومبانج. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو الحصول على معلومات حول كيفية تطبيق طريقة التقليد والتحفيظ، وكيفية حفظ مفردات، وما هي العوامل الداعمة والمثبطة لتطبيق طريقة حفظ المفردات في حفظ المفردات العربية. هذا النوع من البحث هو بحث ميداني وصفي نوعي. الملاحظات والمقابلات والتوثيق هي مكونات تقنية جمع البيانات. تشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن التنفيذ بهذه الطريقة ، أي من خلال عملية النطق والتقليد والحفظ ، يمكن أن يكون له تأثير إيجابي على تعلم المفردات ، أي أن الطلاب قادرون على حفظ وزيادة المفردات حتى يتمكن الطلاب من تكوين أنماط الجمل العربية. وإثارة حماس الطلاب في حفظ المفردات. بالإضافة إلى ذلك يصبح المعلم سهلا في تدريس المفردات للطلاب وقادرا على تنمية الإبداع في استخدام وسائط التعلم وفقا لحالة الفصل. الكلمات الرئيسية : حفظ، مفردات، تقليد والتحفيظ. Abstrak Artikel ini mengkaji tentang penerapan metode mimicry memorization dalam menghafal kosakata Bahasa arab bagi siswa kelas 7 di MTsN 15 Jombang. Adapun tujuan dai adanya penelitian ini ialah untuk memperoleh berbagai informasi tentang bagaimana penerapan dari metode Mimicry Memorization, bagaimana menghafal mufrodat dengan metode ini dan apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari adanya penerapan metode mim – mem dalam menghafalkan kosakata Bahasa arab. Jenis penelitian ini ada.ah penelitian lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi ialah komponen yang menjadi tekhnik pengumpulan datanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan dengan cara tersebut yakni melalui proses pelafalan kalimat, menirukan kemudian menghafalkan kosakata dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam pembelajaran kosakata yakni peserta didik mampu menghafalkan dan memperbanyak perbendaharaan kosakata sehingga peserta didik mampu membuat pola kalimat Bahasa Arab dan membangkitkan semangat peserta didik dalam menghafalkan kosakata. Selain itu, guru menjadi mudah dalam mengajarkan kosakata kepada peserta didik serta mampu mengembangkan kreatifitas penggunaan media pembelajaran sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi kelas. Kata kunci : Menghafal, Mufrodat, Mimicry Memorization. Abstract This article examines the application of the mimicry memorization method in memorizing Arabic vocabulary for 7th grade students at Islamic Junior High Scholl 15 Jombang. The purpose of this research is to obtain various information abaout how to apply the Mimicry Memorization method, how to memorize vocabulary with this method and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of the application of the mim-mem method in memorizing Arabic vocabulary. This type of research is field research which is descriptive qualitative in nature. Observations, interviews and documentation are components of the data collection teachniques. The results of this study indicate that the application in this way, namely through the process of pronouncing sentences, imitating then memorizing vocabulary can have a positive impact on vocabulary learning, namely students are able to memorize and increase vocabulary so that students are able to make Arabia sentences patterns and arouse students enthusiasm in memorize vocabulary. In addition, teachers find it easy to teach vocabulary to students and are able to develop creativity in using learning media according to the situation and conditions of the class.
