Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is part of breastfeeding culture. However, the practice is still far from what is expected. Based on global data, it shows that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding worldwide in 2021 has only reached 67%. Optimal breastfeeding is very important for health and development as well as for women's health. This study aims to analyze the influence of infant formula promotion and breastfeeding motivation on exclusive breastfeeding behavior among employees at RAFFA Majenang General Hospital. The study design is correlational, and the research design is causal. The population in this study consisted of 26 employees of RSU RAFFA Majenang who had infants aged 0–6 months. The results of the analysis using Fisher’s Exact Test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is less than the alpha level of 0.05, indicating that there is an influence of infant formula product promotion on exclusive breastfeeding behavior among employees at RSU RAFFA Majenang. Recommendations for RSU Raffa Majenang include establishing regulations regarding sales visit times, particularly related to infant formula distribution, to enhance the exclusive breastfeeding promotion program, especially for employees, and providing a breastfeeding corner and its facilities specifically for employees.
