Abstract

Background: Reproductive health problems in the Bandar Lampung area remain at around 118 cases, both new and existing. Approximately 52 patients visit the Bakung Community Health Center for treatment with reproductive problems. Considering the livelihoods of the residents within the Bakung Community Health Center's coverage area, the majority are fishermen and have little knowledge about maintaining reproductive health. Purpose: To determine the relationship between reproductive health knowledge and the demographic status of outpatients at the Bakung Community Health Center. Method: The research design used was a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables after identifying the characteristics of each variable (Notoatmodjo, 2002). Results: Statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.000 for the education level variable, a p-value of 0.009 for the respondent's age variable, and a p-value of 0.000 for the respondent's occupation and knowledge level. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between education level, age, and occupation and respondents' knowledge level.   Keywords: Demographics; Patients; Reproduction.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus tipe II is a chronic disease characterized by high blood glucose levels due to insulin resistance or insufficient insulin production. This study aims to determine behavioral determinants related to blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus tipe II patients. This research used a cross-sectional survey analytic design with 83 diabetes mellitus tipe II patients as respondents in the working area of Banjar Baru Health Center, Tulang Bawang Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires and blood glucose measurements. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate (chi-square), and multivariate (logistic regression) analyses. The results showed that 55.4% of patients had abnormal blood glucose levels (>200 mg/dl). Bivariate analysis revealed significant relationships between knowledge (p=0.005; OR=4.34), attitude (p=0.000; OR=9.717), age (p=0.009; OR=4.545), abdominal obesity (p=0.000; OR=5.143), physical activity (p=0.000; OR=5.903), and dietary patterns (p=0.000; OR=9.72) with blood glucose levels. Multivariate analysis showed that dietary patterns were the most dominant factor (p=0.020; OR=10.946) after controlling for attitude, obesity, and physical activity variables. Diabetes mellitus tipe II patients with irregular dietary patterns have a 10.946 times higher risk of experiencing elevated blood glucose levels compared to those with regular dietary patterns.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a key indicator for assessing healthcare quality and influences healthcare utilization behavior, including patient revisits. The Public Health Insurance Program (JAMKESMAS) aims to provide healthcare access for the poor and underprivileged; however, its implementation still faces various challenges that can affect patient satisfaction levels. This research aimed to determine the relationship between JAMKESMAS patient satisfaction and patient revisits to the Pedada Health Center, Pesawaran Regency, in 2025. This study employed an analytical cross-sectional design. A total of 65 JAMKESMAS patients were selected using total sampling. Data on satisfaction were collected through a questionnaire, while revisit behavior was observed using visit logs. Univariate and bivariate analyses were performed using the Chi-square test (? = 0.05). Results indicated that the majority of JAMKESMAS patients were dissatisfied (55.4%) and irregular in their revisit behavior (75.4%). The results of the statistical test showed a significant relationship between JAMKESMAS patient satisfaction and patient revisits to the Pedada Health Center, Pesawaran Regency, in 2025 (p-value = 0.012). An Odds Ratio value of 5.647 indicates that dissatisfied JAMKESMAS patients have a greater likelihood of irregular revisits compared to satisfied patients. It can be concluded that JAMKESMAS patient satisfaction is significantly related to patient revisits. Therefore, improving the quality of healthcare services at the Puskesmas is essential to increase patient satisfaction and encourage regular revisits.
