Abstract

Vaginal discharge is a reproductive health issue among adolescents, particularly among women. Vaginal discharge in adolescents requires special attention. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems. Vaginal discharge is normal. It occurs before menstruation. It is within normal limits as long as it is clear or translucent, odorless, non-itchy, and not excessive in quantity. The purpose of this community service program is to provide knowledge about vaginal discharge to adolescent girls. The sample consisted of 18 adolescent girls in Pargarutan Jae Village, Padangsidimpuan. The results of this community service program indicate that health education regarding vaginal discharge for adolescent girls can have a positive impact on their personal hygiene, as seen before and after the education. The conclusion is that education about vaginal discharge is essential for adolescent girls to maintain personal hygiene and prevent cervical cancer.

Abstract

The most important phase in the growth and development of children during infancy and toddlerhood, because this is the most important period for parents to build the basis for child development. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative study using a cross sectional study approach with the aim of knowing the relationship of Mother's Food Knowledge about Food Nutrition of stunting under five in Singali village, Hutaimbaru district, Padangsidimpuan city, which was observed in the same time period. The time of the study was carried out from January to Mei 2021. The results of the analysis test on Mother's Food Knowledge about Food Nutrition in stunting prevention, obtained the value of person chi-square is 1.149 with a significance level of 5% = 0.050, df = 2, chi-square table value = 5.99148, it can be concluded that mother's knowledge has an influence on prevention stunting in toddlers in Singali Village, Padangsidimpuan Hutaimbaru District.

Abstract

Pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan status gizi anak dalam 1000 Hari Pertama Kelahiran. Bayi yang diberikan ASI ekslusif dapat mencapai pertumbuhan perkembangan dan kesehatan yang optimal. Pemberian ASI Eksusif sangat dipengaruhi oleh perilaku kesehatan berupa, pengetahuan, tidakan, sikap, mencakup dukungan suami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku suami terhadap dukungan pemberian ASI ekslusif pada bayi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batang Pane II Kecamatan Halongonan Timur Kabupaten Paluta Tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang mempunyai bayi berusia ≤6 bulan yang ada di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batang Pane II Kecamatan Halongonan Timur Kabupaten Paluta yang sebanyak 90 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang mempunyai bayi berusia ≤6 bulan yang ada di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batang Pane II Kecamatan Halongonan Timur Kabupaten Paluta sebanyak 90 orang dengan menggunakan metode total sampling. Analisa yang digunakan adalah uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku suami (p= 0,001), pengetahuan suami (p= 0,000), sikap suami (p= 0,003), tindakan suami (p= 0,001) berhubungan dengan dukungan pemberian ASI ekslusif. Kesimpulan diperoleh bahwa perilaku suami berhubungan dengan dukungan pemberian ASI ekslusif. Saran bagi suami agar memberikan perhatian lebih terhadap dukungan pemberian ASI ekslusif.
