Abstract

The development of tourism in Indonesia is currently quite advanced. According to the WTTC Travel and Tourism Power and Performance, Indonesia ranks 9th out of 30 countries, surpassing several developed countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. However, each tourist destination generally has its own impact on the local community, whether positive or negative. Therefore, this research aims to determine the impact caused by the presence of white-water rafting tourism on the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang on the local economy. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive design, conducted at the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang, Sumedang Regency. The subjects of this study are the head of DISPARBUDPORA Sumedang Regency, rafting operators, and 9 affected business owners. The research instruments used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Nvivo12 software application, and the results showed that white-water rafting significantly helps the local economy and opens up new business opportunities, thereby benefiting many members of the community through the presence of white-water rafting tourism. Thus, it can be concluded that white-water rafting on the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang, Sumedang Regency, has a positive impact on the local economy.

Abstract

Anxienty can adversely affect an individual’s abilities, particularly in athletes by impairing motor skill and preventing them from performing at their optimal level. To effectively manage anxiety, it is crucial to strengthen psychological aspects such as self-esteem. Individuals with high level of slef-esteem tend to be more capable of controlling and coping with anxiety. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety levels in extracurricular swimming athlets at SDN Parakanmuncang II. This research employed a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 30 athletes selected through total sampling. Data were collected using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) anxiety questionnaire. The Spearman rank correlation test was untilized for statistical analysis. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and anxiety levels, with a strong inverse relationship. These findings support the study’s hypothesis and highlight the importance of fostering self-esteem to reduce anxiety among student athlets.

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive correlational method, because it can determine the relationship between 2 or more variables using a spearman correlation research design that aims to determine the relationship between 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The independent variables are arm muscle strength, power leg, while the dependent variable is smash accuracy. The sample of this study were 20 students of elementary school Pakemitan II who were selected using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the research obtained push up results of 0.000, vertical jump results of 0.007 and smash results of 0.082 so the conclusion of this normality test is that the data is normal because the residual count is more than 0.05 with a push up test of 0.000> 0.05, vertical jump test results 0.007> and smash test 0.082> 0.05 so the data is normally distributed.  Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship. Based on the sig. (tailed) value on push ups which is 0.542> 0.05 and on the vertical jump of 0.900> 0.05, it concludes that there is no significant relationship. when viewed from the guidelines for the degree of relationship based on the pearson correlation value on push ups classified as a very weak correlation category to smash and if the vertical jump is included in the category of very weak correlation to smash.

Abstract

Menstruation is one of the signs of the development of the reproductive system in women. Menstruation states that women have reached the point of reproductive maturity ready to be fertilized, this is inseparable from Premenstrual syndrome which is a sign before menstruation. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity and symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. In this study using quantitative methods. Through 2 questionnaires of physical activity and premenstrual syndrome, the data obtained correlation between the dependent variable and the independent variable lies in the significance of the results of statistical calculations, namely the significance obtained is the Sig value. 0.195. Which has a number smaller than 0.05, therefore it is stated that there is no correlation between the two variables studied or the correlation in the two variables is not too significant or can be called weak. The conclusion is in line with the data obtained by the researcher, there is an influence of physical activity on premenstrual syndrome symptoms in women with data that 80% of students have a high level of physical activity and 68% of respondents stated that they had quite high premenstrual syndrome symptoms. This states that physical activity has an influence on premenstrual syndrome in female students, but the level of influence is not very significant in each individual.
