Abstract

The development of tourism in Indonesia is currently quite advanced. According to the WTTC Travel and Tourism Power and Performance, Indonesia ranks 9th out of 30 countries, surpassing several developed countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. However, each tourist destination generally has its own impact on the local community, whether positive or negative. Therefore, this research aims to determine the impact caused by the presence of white-water rafting tourism on the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang on the local economy. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive design, conducted at the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang, Sumedang Regency. The subjects of this study are the head of DISPARBUDPORA Sumedang Regency, rafting operators, and 9 affected business owners. The research instruments used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Nvivo12 software application, and the results showed that white-water rafting significantly helps the local economy and opens up new business opportunities, thereby benefiting many members of the community through the presence of white-water rafting tourism. Thus, it can be concluded that white-water rafting on the Cimanuk River in Parakan Kondang, Sumedang Regency, has a positive impact on the local economy.

Abstract

Anxienty can adversely affect an individual’s abilities, particularly in athletes by impairing motor skill and preventing them from performing at their optimal level. To effectively manage anxiety, it is crucial to strengthen psychological aspects such as self-esteem. Individuals with high level of slef-esteem tend to be more capable of controlling and coping with anxiety. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety levels in extracurricular swimming athlets at SDN Parakanmuncang II. This research employed a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 30 athletes selected through total sampling. Data were collected using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) anxiety questionnaire. The Spearman rank correlation test was untilized for statistical analysis. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and anxiety levels, with a strong inverse relationship. These findings support the study’s hypothesis and highlight the importance of fostering self-esteem to reduce anxiety among student athlets.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) among fourth-grade elementary school students in the Cimalaka District. The method used was a quantitative approach with a correlational design through an ex post facto method. The sample consisted of 40 students selected using a multistage sampling technique. Data collection instruments included a learning motivation questionnaire adapted from the Expectancy–Value Theory and documentation of authentic PJOK learning outcomes. The results showed a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and PJOK learning outcomes. In conclusion, learning motivation is an important factor in determining PJOK learning outcomes; therefore, strengthening expectancy and task value aspects is essential in the learning process.   Keywords: Elementary School, Expectancy-Value, Learning Motivation, PJOK Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between arm muscle strength and volleyball underhand passing ability, the relationship between agility and underhand passing ability, and the simultaneous relationship between arm muscle strength and agility and underhand passing ability in elementary school students in Ganeas District. The focus of the study was directed at revealing the role of these two physical condition components as factors supporting basic volleyball technical skills at elementary school age. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a correlational design through multiple linear regression analysis. The study involved 15 students as a sample selected using a multistage sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through physical condition tests to measure arm muscle strength and agility, and skills tests to measure underhand passing ability. The data obtained were then analyzed using normality tests, linearity tests, and regression tests to determine the relationship between variables empirically. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and had a linear relationship, thus meeting the requirements for further analysis. Partially, arm muscle strength had a coefficient of 0.549 with a positive relationship, while agility had a coefficient of 0.249 which also indicated a positive relationship to underhand passing ability. However, both variables did not show a statistically significant effect because their respective significance values were greater than 0.05, namely 0.125 for arm muscle strength and 0.372 for agility. The conclusion of this study is that arm muscle strength and agility have a tendency to have a positive relationship with volleyball underhand passing ability in elementary school students, but have not yet provided a statistically significant effect. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of traditional games of boi-boian, cat and rat, as well as red-green lights on increasing the speed of sprint running of grade VI students of SD Negeri Tegalendah. The method used was a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design, involving 26 grade VI students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of a 60-meter sprint test with a score of 1–10, and the data were analyzed using the normality test, the pair sample t-test, and the R-square test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the speed of the students' sprints, with the average score from 57.30 in the pretest to 64.23 in the posttest. Normally-distributed data, the significance value of the t-test of 0.002 (p < 0.05) confirms the statistically significant score difference. In addition, the R Square value of 0.550 shows that the application of three variations of traditional games has a very large influence, namely 55.0%, on improving students' sprint running ability. In conclusion, traditional game-based learning has been proven to be effective in improving students' motor skills, making the exercise process more lively, fun, and encouraging active engagement. Thus, physical learning focuses not only on speed, but also on the development of motor skills as a whole. Keywords: Sprint Running, Traditional Games, Game Variation
