Abstract

Abstract Teachers in inclusion schools have their own challenges in carrying out their roles in schools. The existence of students with various types of special needs certainly makes teachers must have certain competencies to be able to carry out their roles well. In addition, teachers have the responsibility to carry out roles at home, especially female teachers who are considered responsible for domestic duties. This makes female teachers assume multiple roles, which triggers the emergence of work-family conflict. This study focuses on the description and solutions that have been done by female teachers in inclusion preschool in overcoming work-family conflict. Data collection was conducted with semi-structured interviews on four subjects and significant others. The results of the research data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques, and there were three major themes, namely time based conflict, strain based conflict, and behavior based conflict. The three types of conflict have different weights. The subjects in the study showed the emergence of work-family conflict, and each subject put forward several solutions that felt appropriate in dealing with the conflict.
