Abstract

This study examines the sustainability and socio-economic resilience of small-scale tilapia farming in Baturaden, Indonesia. Using Participatory Qualitative Modeling (PQ Modeling) combined with farmer interviews and financial analysis, the research explores how local environmental conditions, household livelihood strategies, and institutional factors interact to influence aquaculture outcomes. Results reveal that Baturaden’s high-quality water resources and family-managed ponds enable cost-effective and sustainable production, with significant net profits and rapid return on investment. Farmers employ adaptive strategies such as polyculture and income diversification to enhance resilience, despite challenges including market fluctuations and limited credit access. The study highlights the importance of integrating traditional knowledge with modern practices and calls for targeted policy support to sustain and scale tilapia farming in the region

Abstract

Sustainable tourism plays a strategic role as a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia, particularly in promoting economic growth and decent work. This study analyzes the impact of several factors namely, the number of tourists, tourism investment, tourism foreign exchange, and the average length of tourist stays on the achievement of the SDGs in Indonesia. It utilizes secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, covering the period from 2000 to 2023. The data analysis employs multiple linear regression, along with classical assumption testing and statistical hypothesis testing. The results indicate that both the number of tourists and domestic tourism investment positively influence the achievement of the SDGs in Indonesia. This suggests that sustainable tourism development can create decent jobs and enhance the income of local communities. Moreover, tourism has the potential to drive regional economic growth, which can subsequently contribute to national economic growth

Abstract

Stunting remains a health problem in Indonesia, including in Alangamba Village, Binangun District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, where 10 out of 103 children experience stunting. One of the causes of stunting is the community's understanding of nutrition and childcare patterns are the main causes. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge about stunting prevention and improve skills in processing nutritious food through socialization and catfish nugget cooking demonstrations. The activity methods include a pre-test, socialization of materials related to stunting, catfish nugget cooking demonstrations, and post-tests, with a total of 31 participants. The results of the SPSS analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed an increase in the average level of knowledge of participants from 7.03 to 8.43 and as many as 25 participants experienced an increase in knowledge after being given socialization. This activity proves that education can increase community understanding and knowledge about the importance of early stunting prevention and is able to provide solutions to fulfill children's nutritional needs through providing food with affordable local food ingredients.
