Abstract

Treatment efforts carried out by the community in order to overcome and cure diabetes mellitus do not only rely on the use of synthetic drugs but also by using traditional medicines in the form of single preparations or medicinal plant concoctions. Advances in technology, educational levels and the diversity of ethnicities that inhabit Pematang Siantar City, namely various tribes. and religion influence patterns of use of medicinal plants as traditional medicine. The aim of the research was to find out the perspective of diabetes mellitus patients in using traditional therapy before entering the hospital. The research design used in this research is quantitative descriptive, namely a method that aims to create a picture or description of a situation in a purposeful manner. The total population for this study was all 47 diabetes mellitus patients who visited in January – April 2023 at Horas Insani Hospital. Sampling was taken using a total sampling technique, namely the number of samples was the same as the population or the entire population was sampled, namely 47 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet with univariate analysis. The conclusion of this study is that most respondents use traditional medicines in managing diabetes either alone or in combination with conventional medicines. Most of the herbal medicines obtained by respondents are natural products that are affordable and available so they are easy to obtain. Suggestions for future researchers can be used as material as a basic reference for conducting further research regarding the perspective of diabetes mellitus patients in using traditional therapy before admission and can carry out research such as quasi-experimental methods to see what types of traditional medicine can reduce blood sugar levels in diabetes patients. mellitus so that it can reduce the use of pharmacological drugs for a long time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of communication and teamwork on the work productivity of employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 division at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study were all employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 division at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency. The research sample consisted of 57 respondents. The technique used to determine the sample in this study was the simple random sampling technique. Meanwhile, to determine the number of representative samples in quantitative research, the formula used is the Slovin formula. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26. The validity of the data was obtained through the t test (partial) and simultaneous F test. The results of this study indicate that (1) partially, communication significantly influences t on the work productivity of employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 section at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency, which is indicated by the calculated t value> t table (5.412> 2.005) and the significance value of 0.000 is smaller than the significance value of 0.05. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.(2) Partially, teamwork significantly influences the work productivity of employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 section at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency, which is indicated by the calculated t value> t table (3.035> 2.005) and the significance value of 0.000 is smaller than the significance value of 0.05. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. (3) Simultaneously, communication and teamwork significantly influence the work productivity of employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 section at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency, as indicated by Fcount> Ftable (55.878>3.17) with a significance level of 0.000. Thus, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the variables of communication and teamwork, both partially and simultaneously, have a significant influence on the work productivity of employees in the Sewing NCVS 2.02 section at PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency.
