Abstract

Children with special needs (ABK) are children who experience significant abnormalities or deviations, physically, mentally-intellectually, socially and emotionally in the process of growth and development compared to other children their age. This condition makes them need special education(Leli Erawati dkk., 2016). Based on the Bandung City Statistics Agency in 2022, there were 9,020 people with disabilities in Bandung City with disorders such as physical, visual, hearing, mental and other disabilities. Behind the shortcomings they have, there is also the ability to work like other children. Art therapy is one of the most popular and in-demand therapies. With art therapy, they can express themselves more through art. The works that have been made will be exhibited in the Art Gallery. Different from other exhibitions, the design of this Art Gallery is expected to be more friendly to children with special needs. With the hope that this Art Gallery can equalize opportunities in the gallery in enjoying art. The approach used is an inclusive design approach with the hope of meeting the needs of Art Gallery users who come from various types of visitors, as well as equalizing user activities and behavior in terms of facilities, accessibility, and interior. Abstract

Indonesia has shown significant growth in its creative economy. The Sumedang Creative Center was established to support the development of the creative economy in the region. However, there are challenges such as limited facilities, spaces that do not align with users' activities, and suboptimal space conditioning. The goal of redesigning the center's interior is to create an environment that fosters creativity, provides facilities and spaces that meet the needs of creative individuals, and enhances user comfort and productivity. The study used qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, surveys, questionnaires, direct observation, and literature review, to gather data. The results indicated that the redesign successfully improves user efficiency and comfort through a design that focuses on users' needs and activities. Keywords: interior, creative center, sumedang

Abstract

This research aims to redesign the waiting area and hall of Gambir Station, Jakarta, using behavioral approach to enhance comfort and efficiency for users. As one of the busiest stations in Jakarta, Gambir Station has faced various issues such as inefficient layout and circulation, and suboptimal thermal comfort. This study analyzes different aspects of the station through primary data collection methods such as direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires, as well as secondary data from literature and government regulations. The findings indicate that the current design does not adequately accommodate the needs and behaviors of the users. Recommendations from this study include layout optimization, improvement of thermal comfort, and circulation adjustments more aligned with user behavior. With this redesign, Gambir Station is expected to become more efficient and comfortable for the thousands of passengers who use it daily, while ensuring the station remains a key transportation hub in Jakarta. This research also provides practical guidelines for other station management and contributes to the literature on transportation infrastructure design focused on user behavior aspects. Abstract

Cisauk Station, located in Tangerang Regency, Banten, faces various challenges related to the lack of supporting facilities and the optimal implementation of information technology. To address this, this study redesigns the interior of Cisauk Station with the concept of a "Smart Urban Transit Hub" to support the transformation of BSD City into a smart city and align with the vision of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) in realizing digital transformation in the transportation sector. Data collection was conducted through field studies, literature reviews, comparative studies, and precedent studies to produce optimal design solutions. The "Smart Flow Station" concept was applied to create an environment that is efficient, easy, and comfortable for users. The interior design focused on the use of technology, such as real-time information systems and digital ticket payments, to enhance mobility efficiency and user experience. The redesign is expected to make Cisauk Station a model for future transit hubs, combining technological advancements with the needs of the urban community, while also strengthening BSD City's role as a center of innovation and technology. Abstract

Higher education libraries support learning, research, and community service in accordance with Government regulation Number 30 of 1990. State University of Malang (UM) has a UPT Library as a reference center for scientific information for 120 study programs. However, there are still problem related to design development that applies the Blended Eco-Library concept. Apart from problems encountered from the survei results, namely in the organization and cieculation of space, visual concepts, and general requirements. Therefore, redesigning the UM Library is must. The aim is to create a library that is more relevant, efficient, and effective in supporting education, research, and development in the field of education so that it can fulfill the vision of itself. The methods used for the redesign of the State University of Malang (UM) Library include data collection through interviews, questionnaires, obsevations, field studies, literature studies, comparative studies, and precedent studies. The final result of this design is a design concept based on the problems that have been identified, and leads to design output in the form of design animations and mockups.
