Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of underhand passing skills through the application of play-based methods to fifth and sixth grade students at SDN 1 Bumijawa. This study used a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest and Posttest experimental design. The sample in this study was 15 students. Data were collected through underhand passing skills tests conducted before and after treatment. The results showed a significant increase in underhand passing skills after students participated in learning using the play-based method. This method has been proven to be able to increase students' interest, active participation, and understanding of basic volleyball techniques. In addition, the application of the play-based method also creates a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and reduces student boredom. This method directly involves students in practical activities, so that students not only understand the theory but also can apply it in real games. Play activities carried out in small groups allow students to learn from each other and increase self-confidence. Improvement in underhand passing skills also shows that the play-based method is effective in developing fine motor skills needed in volleyball. Therefore, the play-based method can be used as an alternative strategy in learning Physical Education, especially volleyball material in elementary schools. This study suggests that Physical Education teachers implement play-based methods more widely to maximize student learning and learning outcomes, as well as increase their motivation and enthusiasm for sports. Furthermore, implementing play-based methods can also improve teamwork among students, a crucial aspect of volleyball. With a more fun and interactive approach, students are more motivated to practice and master the skills taught.

Abstract

Oyo Waluyo ,Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode latihan drill dan pola pukulan terhadap peningkatan pukulan smash dalam bulutangkis di PB Cendrawasih Kuningan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain “two groups pre test-post-test design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet PB. Cendrawasih Kuningan yang berjumlah 18 orang putra. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan kriteria yaitu: (1) daftar hadir minimal 75% (keaktifan mengikuti latihan), (2) pemain merupakan atlet bulutangkis PB. Cendrawasih Kuningan, (3) berjenis kelamin laki laki, Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes pola pukulan dan ketepatan smash. Hasil dari penelitian di lakukan dengan analisis data test awal (pre-test) dengan hasil untuk kelompok metode latihan drill rata-rata 20,78 dan standar deviasi 2,635, dan kelompok metode latihan pola pukulan rata-rata sebesar 22,78 dan standar deviasi 4,790. Setelah melakukan perlakuan dan di analisis data test akhir (post-test) hasil untuk kelompok metode latihan drill rata-rata 29,67 dan standar deviasi 6,461 dan kelompok metode latihan pola pukulan 22,89 dan standar deviasi 3,621. Artinya hasil test akhir menunjukan kelompok metode latihan drill memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi di bandingkan dengan kelompok metode latihan pola pukulan atau dengan kata lain hasil metode latihan drill lebih unggul di bandingkan dengan metode latihan pola pukulan.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the important role of licensed coaches in implementing the Filanesia curriculum to improve the quality of early-age football development. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the significance of the impact of training programs implemented by licensed coaches on the improvement of holistic performance (technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects) of students at the Mitra Persada Football School (SSB) in Cilongok, Banyumas. The method used in this study is a quantitative experimental approach with a Pre-Experimental Design, specifically the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of 25 students from the Mitra Persada Football School aged 13–15 years. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a final sample of 15 students. Data collection instruments included performance tests and questionnaires that had been validated by experts with a feasibility level of 95% (categorized as “Very Feasible”). The collected data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test and N-Gain Score effectiveness test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results showed an overall improvement in performance, with the average pretest score of 58.40 increasing to 79.20 in the posttest. The Paired Sample T-Test results indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Furthermore, the effectiveness test using the N-Gain Score resulted in a value of 0.50 (50%), which falls into the “Moderate” or fairly effective category. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a positive and highly significant impact of licensed coach training programs on improving the performance of early-age athletes at SSB Mitra Persada Cilongok Banyumas.
