Abstract

This study reviews leadership dynamics in human resource management, focusing on how leadership styles affect employee performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. A systematic review of 16 peer-reviewed articles (2020–2025) was conducted, using a thematic analysis approach. Findings show that transformational, ethical, and adaptive leadership enhance performance and commitment, while authoritarian and abusive styles lead to reduced motivation and counterproductive behaviors. Moderating factors such as organizational ethical climate and power distance, as well as individual traits like proactive personality, influence these relationships. This review offers insights for developing inclusive and adaptive leadership models to improve organizational outcomes.

Abstract

Digital transformation in payment systems is a strategic factor in driving financial inclusion for MSMEs. The implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) presents a non-cash payment innovation that improves transaction efficiency and market access. However, limited financial literacy and human resource (HR) readiness remain challenges. This study aims to analyze the impact of QRIS adoption on MSME financial performance, consumer behavior, and HR readiness within a single integrated analytical framework. The study used a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS 4. The sample was determined by purposive sampling with reference to the 10-times rule, including MSME users or potential users of QRIS. Data were obtained through a 1–5 Likert scale questionnaire and supporting literature. The results showed that QRIS adoption significantly influenced MSME performance and consumer behavior. HR readiness had a positive effect on MSME performance, but not significantly on consumer behavior. The moderating role of HR readiness was also not proven. Prediction tests (PLSpredict and CVPAT) confirmed the model's strong predictive ability, particularly for MSME performance. This study contributes theoretically by developing an integrative conceptual model based on financial literacy, TAM, and organizational capabilities. Practically, the research findings can serve as a reference for regulators and digital financial service providers in designing more adaptive QRIS adoption strategies and MSME mentoring.

Abstract

The gig economy is growing rapidly and is creating new challenges for those responsible for managing workers. The expansion of digital platforms and technological systems has significantly influenced how work is organized and managed in modern labor markets. This study aims to examine how the gig economy affects the management of workers and to understand how technological systems influence human resource management practices. This study aims to examine how the gig economy affects the management of workers and to understand how technological systems influence human resource practices. The results show that digital systems and algorithms are increasingly used to determine task allocation and worker management. These technological developments are significantly transforming the role of managers in the gig economy. The study also finds that gig economy experiences higher vulnerability due to limited legal protection compared to formal workers. The study reveals a paradox between the flexibility desired by workers and the job instability that accompanies gig work. This condition requires adaptive human resource management strategies. Strategic and regulatory updates are also needed to address the emerging challenges in the gig economy. The findings suggest that the HRM function needs to transform in order to manage boundary-less careers in the digital era. Furthermore, future research is recommended to explore the role of artificial intelligence in human resource management practices.
