Abstract

Indonesia, located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, is highly vulnerable to earthquakes. This disaster risk is exacerbated by the low level of community preparedness, particularly in Tegaltirto Village, where the majority of residents work as farmers, laborers, or livestock breeders with limited education and disaster knowledge. A community service program conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Universitas Madani aimed to empower women, especially mothers, as the frontline of family-based earthquake mitigation. The program was implemented through socialization, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and post-activity mentoring. Initial surveys revealed that 85% of participants had minimal knowledge of practical earthquake mitigation measures. After the program, post-test scores increased by 72%, indicating a significant improvement in both theoretical understanding and practical skills, particularly in preparing emergency kits. These findings highlight that participatory methods combined with practical learning effectively promote transformative learning and enhance community preparedness. Therefore, similar training programs should be carried out sustainably with support from local authorities and community leaders to foster a culture of disaster preparedness at the family level.

Abstract

Traffic Impact Analysis (Andalalin) is basically an analysis of the influence of land use development on the surrounding traffic flow system, which is caused by the generation of new traffic, diverted traffic, and by vehicles entering and leaving the development land. The Kirana Garden Residence housing development plan will have an impact on the smoothness of traffic around it, especially the performance of the nearest roads in the development area. Therefore, there is a need for a study to analyze the impacts resulting from the Kirana Garden Residence housing development plan. The aim of this research is to identify the performance of sections and intersections that are estimated to be affected by the Kirana Garden Residence housing construction activities, then formulate efforts to deal with the impact caused by the Kirana Garden Residence housing construction activities on the surrounding traffic. The research method used is the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2023 (PKJI 2023) approach, with the results namely the value of the degree of saturation of the surrounding road sections and intersections during existing conditions before construction and during operational conditions after the construction of the Kirana Garden Residence housing complex. The results of the research show that there is a decrease in road performance after the Kirana Garden Residence housing development plan, so it is necessary to take action to minimize the impact of traffic that will occur, especially during the Kirana Garden Residence housing construction activities.

Abstract

Masalah sampah di Yogyakarta ini semakin kompleks, seiring dengan meningkatnya volume sampah yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat, terutama di kawasan padat penduduk dan destinasi wisata. Secara umum pengelolaan sampah berbasis 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Setelah ditutupnya TPST Piyungan Bantul, terjadi penumpukan sampah yang terjadi secara massive di hampir seluruh daerah di Yogyakarta. Banyak terjadi ketidaktahuan di masyarakat tentang konsep Reuse, sehingga menjadi sebuah bom waktu apabila tidak dilakukan secara benar karena dapat mengakibatkan permasalahan kesehatan yang serius. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan tidak melakukan reuse secara sembarangan.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan wilayah rawan bencana yang berpotensi mengancam keselamatan satuan pendidikan, khususnya Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) yang memiliki kerentanan tinggi karena karakteristik peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus yang memerlukan sistem evakuasi adaptif dan inklusif. SLB Bhakti Kencana Berbah belum memiliki denah jalur evakuasi berbasis pengukuran aktual bangunan yang mempertimbangkan aksesibilitas, keterbacaan visual, dan orientasi ruang, serta masih terbatasnya pemahaman warga sekolah terhadap prosedur evakuasi yang aman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan menyusun denah jalur evakuasi inklusif sesuai karakteristik sekolah, meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana warga sekolah, dan menghasilkan dokumen teknis jalur evakuasi melalui pemodelan AutoCAD. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan bertahap melalui diskusi kebutuhan, pengukuran dan observasi lapangan, pemetaan kondisi eksisting, perancangan denah jalur evakuasi, serta validasi dan sosialisasi bersama pihak sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa denah jalur evakuasi yang dihasilkan akurat, mudah dipahami, dan memenuhi prinsip keselamatan, orientasi ruang, keterbacaan visual, serta aksesibilitas sesuai desain universal, sekaligus meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesiapsiagaan warga sekolah terhadap mitigasi bencana. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan budaya sadar bencana dan keselamatan di lingkungan pendidikan inklusif serta menjadi wujud penerapan keilmuan mitigasi bencana dan desain inklusif oleh perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The construction of Nur Hidayah Bantul Hospital is located on Jalan Yogyakarta–Barongan, Bembem, Trimulyo, Jetis District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, which is expected to have a significant impact on the surrounding road network. Nur Hidayah Bantul Hospital has a land area of ​​2131 m2 with a building area of ​​5110 m2 and is planned to have 5 floors. The construction process will involve intensive construction activities, such as the mobilization of heavy equipment, transportation of materials, and the entry and exit of workers. This will cause construction traffic generation that will affect the smooth flow of vehicles on the road network, especially the Yogyakarta–Barongan Road section. The government has emphasized that every planned development of activity centers, settlements and infrastructure that will cause disruption to security, safety, order, and smooth traffic and road transportation must be subject to a traffic impact analysis as regulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 17 of 2021. The purpose of this study is to analyze the existing traffic performance on the Yogyakarta-Barongan Road Section, as well as to analyze changes in traffic performance on the Yogyakarta-Barongan Road Section due to the construction of the Nur Hidayah Bantul Hospital using the 2023 PKJI method. The results of the study showed a decrease in road performance during the construction of the Nur Hidayah Bantul Hospital compared to existing conditions, with a DJ value of 0.48 during the existing period and 0.52 during construction.
