Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is an innovative approach that can improve students' problem-solving and critical thinking skills. In the context of Business Mathematics, PBL offers a way to connect mathematical theory with real-world applications relevant to the business world. This study aims to explore the application of problem-based learning in Business Mathematics courses and analyze its impact on students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities. The results show that PBL can improve students' learning motivation and understanding of mathematical concepts often considered difficult, such as financial analysis, interest calculation, and optimization. This study also provides recommendations for the development of problem-based learning methods in Business Mathematics education

Abstract

Mathematics is an essential foundation for modern economic analysis. Through a mathematical approach, the relationships between economic variables can be explained quantitatively and logically. This study aims to examine the application of mathematics in economics, particularly in the context of microeconomics and macroeconomics. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with a literature review approach from various academic sources. The results of the study indicate that the application of mathematics helps economists analyze market behavior, predict economic changes, and formulate more rational policies. Mathematical models such as the demand-supply function, elasticity analysis, and the Solow growth model are concrete examples of how mathematics strengthens economic science

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of work discipline and work environment on employee commitment at PT BPR Mitra Daya Mandiri Cileungsi Branch. The research problem is grounded in the company's production realization, which did not reach the expected targets during 2020-2024. This condition indicates that internal human resource issues require deeper managerial attention. The study used a quantitative survey approach involving 67 employees as respondents. Primary data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and were analyzed through instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, partial testing, simultaneous testing, and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings show that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee commitment, while the work environment also has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect employee commitment. The regression model produces an R Square value of 0.719, meaning that 71.9 percent of the variation in employee commitment can be explained by work discipline and work environment. The work environment is the more dominant variable based on the standardized beta coefficient. These findings imply that employee commitment in a branch banking context is shaped not only by rule compliance and responsible work behavior, but also by daily work experiences, workplace comfort, social relations, safety, and managerial support. Therefore, the company needs to strengthen discipline consistently while improving the physical and non-physical work environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the commitment of outsourcing worker organizations in BUMDes Citaringgul Bogor which is influenced by community empowerment and work welfare. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of community empowerment and work welfare on organizational commitment, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is an associative quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to all outsourcing workers as respondents. The results of the study found that community empowerment has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. In addition, work welfare has also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Together, these two factors have a strong contribution in determining the level of commitment of workers. The implication is that the management of BUMDes needs to strengthen the active involvement of workers in empowerment programs and improve work welfare facilities in a sustainable manner in order to build stronger loyalty and emotional attachment of workers.
