Abstract

ABSTRAK Sekolah merupakan tempat berkumpulnya banyak orang dengan berbagai aktivitas yang bisa menimbulkan bahaya bagi keselamatan dan kesehatan penghuninya. Penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di sekolah masih sering diabaikan karena kurangnya pemahaman dan minimnya kebijakan yang mengatur keselamatan secara menyeluruh. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta, khususnya guru dan siswa SMK Atisa Dipamkara, dalam mengenali potensi bahaya, menilai tingkat risiko, serta merancang perbaikan sederhana terkait keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) di lingkungan sekolah melalui seminar dan workshop interaktif yang aplikatif. Dalam Penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif, mencakup analisis kualitatif dari catatan observasi, hasil diskusi, dan wawancara, serta analisis risiko berdasarkan skor tingkat bahaya yang meliputi frekuensi, kemungkinan dan dampak bahaya, menilai risiko, serta melakukan perbaikan. Selain itu, dilakukan inspeksi langsung di berbagai area sekolah menggunakan checklist untuk mencatat kondisi berbahaya. Kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa di SMK Atisa Dipamkara ditemukan 35 kondisi berbahaya yang berisiko terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan, seperti penyimpanan bahan kimiaa yang tidak aman, kabel listrik yang berantakan, ventilasi yang buruk, serta kurangnya pemeliharaan alat pemadam kebakaran. Tingkat risiko di beberapa area bervariasi dari sedang hinggga sangat tinggi dan perlu dilkukan perbaikan segera, seperti perbaikan infrastruktur, pelatihan K3 serta inspeksi rutin. Sekolah belum menerapkan K3 dengan baik karena kurangnya pemahaman dan minimnya tindakan pencegahan. Maka, perlu ada peningkatan kesadaran melalui sosialisasi, inspeksi rutin serta kebijakan yang lebiih ketat agar lingkungan sekolah lebih aman dan nyaman bagi semua yang beraktivitas di dalamnya.  Kata Kunci: Inspeksi Mitigasi, Risiko, K3, Sekolah  ABSTRACT Schools are a gathering place for many people with various activities that can pose a danger to the safety and health of their residents. The implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in schools is still often ignored due to a lack of understanding and lack of policies that regulate safety as a whole. This activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of participants, especially teachers and students of SMK Atisa Dipamkara, in recognizing potential hazards, assessing risk levels, and designing simple improvements related to occupational safety and health (K3) in the school environment through applicable interactive seminars and workshops. In this study, a descriptive method was used, including qualitative analysis of observation notes, discussion results, and interviews, as well as risk analysis based on hazard level scores which include frequency, likelihood and impact of hazards, assessing risks, and making improvements. In addition, direct inspections were carried out in various school areas using checklists to record dangerous conditions. This activity showed that at SMK Atisa Dipamkara, 35 dangerous conditions were found that were at risk to safety and health, such as unsafe storage of chemicals, messy electrical cables, poor ventilation, and lack of maintenance of fire extinguishers. The level of risk in some areas varies from moderate to very high and needs immediate improvements, such as infrastructure improvements, K3 training and routine inspections. Schools have not implemented K3 properly due to lack of understanding and lack of preventive measures. Therefore, there needs to be an increase in awareness through socialization, routine inspections and stricter policies so that the school environment is safer and more comfortable for all those who are active in it.  Keywords: Mitigation Inspection, Risk, K3, Schools

Abstract

Health and safety within the school environment are essential to ensuring a secure and sustainable learning process. Data from the Ministry of Health (2022) indicate that only 45% of secondary schools have an established emergency preparedness programme. A preliminary assessment at SMK Atisa Dipamkara also revealed substantial gaps: 73% of students had never participated in a fire simulation, and existing training remained conventional without interactive media. Nutritional issues were similarly prominent, as 60% of students frequently skipped breakfast, potentially impairing concentration and physical endurance. This study examined the effectiveness of a virtual reality (VR)-based training model integrating fire emergency simulation and balanced nutrition education. The study was conducted at SMK Atisa Dipamkara, Tangerang, from May to July 2025. A quasi-experimental design was employed involving 100 respondents assigned to VR and conventional training groups. Data were collected through knowledge tests, skills assessments, and Likert-scale satisfaction questionnaires. The findings demonstrate significant improvements in knowledge and skills among participants receiving VR training (p < 0.001), with outcomes superior to the conventional group. High satisfaction scores (M = 4.36; SD = 0.53) reflected strong perceptions of realism, interactivity, engagement, and active participation. VR-based training effectively addresses critical gaps in school preparedness and represents a strategic approach for strengthening comprehensive safety and health promotion programmes in educational settings.
