Abstract

Background: Career progression in nursing is achieved through enhanced competencies gained from formal, structured education, relevant informal learning, and clinical experience. However, the implementation of career pathways in several hospitals remains suboptimal. Purpose: To examine the key factors influencing the development of nurses' career levels and competencies at Haji Abdoel Majid Batoe Hospital, Batang Hari Jambi. Method: A quantitative correlational study with an ex post facto design was conducted at Haji Abdoel Majid Batoe Hospital between October and November 2024. Data were collected using a questionnaire from a proportionally randomized sample of 141 nurses. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression. Results: Supervisor support was the most influential factor affecting nurses' career level and competency development (p = 0.000). Overall, 38.5% of the variance in career level and competency development could be explained by job satisfaction, supervisor support, and management support, while the remaining 61.5% was attributed to other variables outside the model. Conclusion: Job satisfaction, supervisor support, and management support significantly contribute to the development of nurses' career levels and competencies. It is recommended that hospital management, particularly the nursing committee, implement a policy of monthly mentoring sessions for nurses undergoing competency assessments for career advancement.

Abstract

Kelelahan kerja pada perawat dapat berdampak negatif dan dapat menimbulkan gangguan baik itu gangguan fisik, kognitif dan emosional. Persatuan Perawat Nasional Indonesia (PPNI) mengungkapkan bahwa sebanyak 50,9% perawat Indonesia mengalami stress kerja, sering merasa pusing, lelah, kurang ramah, kurang istirahat, akibat beban kerja terlalu tinggi serta penghasilan yang tidak memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan kelelahan kerja (Burn Out) pada perawat di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Jujun Kabupaten Kerinci Tahun 2025. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi seluruh perawat yang ada di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Jujun Kabupaten Kerinci yang berjumlah 58 orang yang diambil dengan teknik Total Populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square dan uji Regresi Logistic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara usia, jenis kelamin, status perkawinan, tingkat pendidikan, beban kerja, masa kerja, stres kerja, gaya kepemimpinan dan dukungan sosial dengan dengan kelelahan kerja (Burn Out). Usia tua, jenis kelamin perempuan, dan status pernikahan dapat meningkatkan risiko kelelahan karena penurunan fungsi tubuh, beban ganda pekerjaan rumah tangga, serta tanggung jawab keluarga. Faktor pekerjaan seperti beban kerja yang berat, masa kerja yang panjang, dan stres karena tuntutan serta ekspektasi juga turut memicu kelelahan fisik dan mental.
