Abstract

Education has essential role in delivering knowledge that makes society have broad insight. It can awaken society to move forward and awaken from backwardness. The language has essential role to demand the optimal effort in learning Indonesian at school, especially for senior high school. The technology development influences society’s life style and bring to the digital world. The purpose of the research is to improve the students’ speaking skill and make them love the local wisdom through media and teaching material ethnobotanical digital poster in the form of offers in literature performance as Indonesian teaching material with local wisdom base in improving tenth grade students’ speaking skill at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang. The problems are: how does the tenth-grade students’ speaking skill improvement process at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang through ethnobotanical digital media in the form of offers in literature performance of Jidor sentulan and how does the result of tenth grade students’ speaking improvement at SMK Darul Ulum 1 Peterongan Jombang through the form of offers in literature performance of Jidor sentulan. The research method uses action classroom research with two cycles. The data source of research are 17 students in the accountant department. The data show that there are 5 students who have low score based on the pre observation and the score is below the passing grade. The action class treatment is given to 17 students to improve the students’ speaking skill in the accountant class. The research result through teacher’s lesson plan in cycle I shows 85% of the students is enthusiastic and 95% of the students in cycle II of 17 students in accountant class can present their work in front of class. Besides, they want to introduce the developing culture in the original place by creating creative and innovative posters. The appearance of competitive and self-confidence feeling in speaking. The students show that they have positive impact in learning activities.
