Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa dan faktor- faktor kesulitan siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas IX-5 SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian adalah pemberian tes uraian sebanyak 2 soal dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dialami siswa adalah adalah kesulitan dalam memahami ide-ide matematika secara lisan dan tertulis; menjelaskan ide, situasi dan relasi matematika secara tulisan dan lisan dengan menggunakan ekspresi aljabar; menyusun model matematika suatu peristiwa; menggunakan rumus untuk menyatakan informasi matematika Faktor kesulitan siswa adalah siswa lupa atau tidak dapat mengingat rumus serta tidak mampu melakukan penyelesaian dengan rumus, siswa melakukan pemfaktoran dengan menebak atau mencoba-coba, siswa tidak teliti, kurangnya waktu pengerjaan soal, kondisi kelas yang tidak kondusif, kondisi rumah yang tidak kondusif, fasilitas sekolah yang kurang memadai, sulit berkonsentrasi pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung, catatan yang tidak lengkap, tidak mampu mengembangkan pengetahuan yang ada untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang baru, gaya berpikir, kurangnya latihan, tidak mengulang kembali pelajaran, kesiapan belajar yang kurang dan rasa percaya diri yang rendah. This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students and the factors of student difficulties. The subjects in this study were 3 students of class IX-5 at SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. The method of collecting data in this study was giving a description test of 2 questions and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the difficulties experienced by students are difficulties in understanding mathematical ideas orally and in writing; explain ideas, situations and mathematical relations in writing and orally using algebraic expressions; construct a mathematical model of an event; using formulas to express mathematical information Factors for student difficulty are students forgetting or not being able to remember formulas and are unable to complete formulas, students do factoring by guessing or trial and error, students are not careful, lack of time to work on questions, class conditions are not conducive, unconducive home conditions, inadequate school facilities, difficulty concentrating during learning, incomplete notes, unable to develop existing knowledge to solve new problems, thinking style, lack of practice, not repeating lessons, poor learning readiness lacking and low self-esteem.

Abstract

In this article, we develop a parametric Bühlmann credibility model with the frequency of claims that are assumed following the Negative Binomial- Lindley distribution. The Estimator of the quantities in the Bühlmann model have provided for this distribution using methods commonly used in the greatest accuracy credibility. The premium estimation that resulted in this model is a linear combination of the past claims which gives a minimum error square. The momen function of the Binomial-Lindley distribution is very helpful to determine these Bühlmann’s quantities. Application simulations of this model are also given for simple data claims along with the algorithm. However, it gives an appreciable credibility factor value, this model requires many past claims to get a good premium estimation.

Abstract

The credibility theory is one of the tools that can be used to determine risk-based premiums. One approach that can be used is the best accuracy approach such as Bühlmann-Straub. We study the parametric Bühlmann-Straub credibility model in which the claim frequency data is assumed to follow the Negative-Lindley (NB-L) Binomial distribution. Determination of the Bühlmann-Straub parameter is determined by using the basic rules in probability theory. From the study that has been carried out, an explicit equation has been obtained to determine the credibility premium of Bühlmann-Straub. A simulation of the application of the model to the data was also provided by assuming the data follows the NB-L distribution. The NB-L distribution parameters were estimated using the momen method and maximum likelihood estimation. From the simulation, it is found that the data used had a high credibility factor value which implies the data can be considered primely for estimating future premiums.
