Abstract

Waste management has become an important issue in the modern era along with the increasing volume of waste generated by human activities. This study allows the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the organic and inorganic waste detection system in the Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai environment. The method used is a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative approaches through questionnaires and qualitative through direct observation. The results of the study showed that 82% of respondents felt that AI increased awareness of waste management, and 91% were willing to change their waste disposal habits with this tool. Although only 23% of respondents have tried the tool, enthusiasm for this technology is quite high. This study involved academics as the main respondents, including students and cleaners, to assess the effectiveness of the tool and its impact on environmental awareness.

Abstract

FaceSwap technology, which allows digital face swapping in photos and videos, has become a rapidly growing global phenomenon on various social media platforms. The use of FaceSwap not only provides opportunities for creativity and visual entertainment, but also raises serious concerns about privacy, digital ethics, and psychological impacts on its users. This article aims to explore social media users' perceptions of FaceSwap technology, especially from a social and psychological perspective. The methodology used is quantitative descriptive research through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents who are active social media users in Indonesia. The results showed that 66% of respondents used FaceSwap for entertainment purposes, but 1% expressed discomfort when their faces were used without permission. In addition, 44% had received misleading FaceSwap content. This article recommends the need to strengthen digital literacy and the formation of clear policies and regulations to protect users' privacy rights and digital identities in the era of AI-based technology.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in automated assessment systems in the education sector, with a case study conducted at SMKN 1 Bangkinang. The research is grounded in the growing demand for efficiency and objectivity in evaluating students' learning outcomes, particularly for essays and open-ended responses. Using a quantitative descriptive method and distributing questionnaires to both students and teachers, the findings reveal that most students already utilize AI tools to support their learning, especially in searching for materials and answers. Teachers responded positively to the integration of AI in assessments but emphasized the need for human validation and attention to plagiarism issues. The analysis shows that AI-based evaluation systems, especially those employing Natural Language Processing (NLP), can provide fast and consistent feedback. However, the implementation of such technologies requires proper support and ethical awareness. A hybrid model combining AI capabilities with teacher evaluation is recommended.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT is increasingly popular across various fields, including education, research, and creative industries. However, not all users obtain responses that align with their expectations. This article aims to examine strategies for providing effective prompts to ChatGPT to ensure that the generated output meets user needs. The method used in this study is a literature review, referring to various recent sources on prompt engineering techniques and best practices for interacting with generative language models. The results of this study indicate that word choice, sentence structure, and clear context in a prompt significantly affect the quality of responses produced by ChatGPT. This article also provides several examples of effective prompts as a guide for users to interact optimally with generative AI models.

Abstract

This paper studies the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in face detection systems to enhance digital security, especially by studying how Face ID is used on smartphones. The background of the study is the increasing need for strong and secure authentication systems as a result of the increasing use of smartphones in society. Observation, questionnaires, literature research, and quantitative data analysis are some of the techniques used. This research collected data from smartphone users to determine the level of understanding, convenience, and perceived security of AI-based Face ID. The results show that, thanks to the ability to recognize facial features automatically and in real-time, Face ID increases user convenience and security. Despite its proven success, the technology still faces issues such as the possibility of spoofing and algorithm bias towards certain genders and skin colors. High device resource usage is also important. However, most respondents felt safe and helpful with the Face ID feature. The study concludes that AI-based Face ID has great potential as a future digital security system, with an important note to continuously improve the accuracy, fairness, and protection of biometric data.
