Abstract

Responsibility is a core element in the formation of student character, particularly in vocational schools that emphasize discipline and integrity. This study aims to determine the extent to which the personality competence of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers influences students' sense of responsibility at SMKN 1 Bawen. A quantitative approach was employed using a correlational survey method, involving a randomly selected sample of 100 tenth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation technique. The final analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the personality competence of PAI teachers and students’ sense of responsibility, with a correlation coefficient of 0.515 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.01). These findings suggest that strong personal qualities in teachers, such as honesty and exemplary behavior, play a vital role in fostering students’ sense of responsibility. Therefore, character development among students can be effectively initiated by enhancing the personal competence of teachers. Abstrak Sikap tanggung jawab merupakan elemen utama saat pembentukan karakter siswa, khususnya di sekolah kejuruan yang menuntut kedisiplinan dan integritas. Penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kompetensi kepribadian guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada tanggung jawab siswa di SMKN 1 Bawen. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional, dengan jumlah siswa yang terlibat sebanyak 100 siswa kelas X yang telah dipilih secara acak. Data didapat dari kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil akhir analisis memaparkan ada hubungan positif dan signifikan pada kompetensi kepribadian guru PAI dan sikap tanggung jawab siswa, dengan angka nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,515 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,01). Pada temuan ini telah ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kualitas pribadi guru yang baik, seperti kejujuran dan keteladanan, memiliki peran penting dalam mendorong tumbuhnya rasa tanggung jawab pada siswa. Oleh karena itu, penguatan karakter siswa dapat dimulai dengan peningkatan kualitas kepribadian guru.

Abstract

The lack of exploration regarding the application of cognitive psychology in Islamic Religious Education and the gap between learning theory and practice form the background of this study. This study aims to identify cognitive psychology-based learning strategies, understand the perceptions of teachers and students, and analyze the challenges and opportunities in their implementation at SMAN 1 Salatiga. The method used in this study was a qualitative case study with subjects consisting of 3 PAI teachers and six 11th grade students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that teachers apply cognitive load management strategies, dual coding using visual-verbal media, cognitive elaboration through discussion and presentation, and emotion management in learning. The perceptions of teachers and students tend to be positive towards increased motivation and understanding of the material. However, there were challenges faced, such as the heterogeneity of student abilities, the complexity of abstract material, emotional instability, and limited digital infrastructure. This study concluded that the application of cognitive psychology can effectively improve students' conceptual understanding, but requires systematic support from the school. These findings contribute to the development of an evidence-base PAI learning model.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the high usage of TikTok among students, which has the potential to affect learning outcomes, particularly in Islamic Religious Education classes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the intensity of TikTok usage and PAI learning outcomes among 10th grade students at SMKN 3 Salatiga. This study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational survey method. A sample of 96 students was selected using purposive sampling, with criteria including active TikTok users and having received PAI grades in the current semester. Data was collected through a closed-ended questionnaire measuring the duration, frequency, and engagement of TikTok users, as well as documentation of academic performance grades. The analysis results indicate a positive correlation between the intensity of TikTok usage and PAI learning outcomes, meaning that the intensity of TikTok usage significantly influences PAI learning outcomes. This finding suggests the need for an adaptive learning approach tailored to students' digital habits to ensure that PAI content remains effectively conveyed. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya penggunaan TikTok di kalangan pelajar yang berpotensi memengaruhi hasil belajar, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan hasil belajar PAI pada siswa kelas X SMKN 3 Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional. Sampel sebanyak 96 siswa dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan kriteria pengguna aktif TikTok dan telah memperoleh nilai PAI pada semester berjalan. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup yang mengukur durasi, frekuensi, dan keterlibatan pengguna TikTok, serta dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara intensitas penggunaan TikTok dengan hasil belajar PAI, yang berarti bahwa intensitas penggunaan TikTok berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar PAI. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap kebiasaan digital siswa agar materi PAI tetap efektif tersampaikan.
