Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and work motivation on employee productivity at the Secretariat of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of North Sumatra Province. Specifically, the study examines the effects of the work environment and work motivation both partially and simultaneously on work productivity. The approach used is quantitative with a survey method, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 71 respondents. Collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26. The results show that partially, the work environment does not have a significant effect on employee productivity (significance value 0.457 > 0.05), while work motivation has a significant partial effect on employee productivity (significance value 0.022 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both independent variables have a significant effect on employee productivity with a significance value of 0.031 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.096. This indicates that 9.6% of the variation in employee productivity can be explained by these two variables.

The results of the study indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline at the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry and Trade Office of Medan City seen from the results of data processing with a t-value of 3.999> t-table of 1.99 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, then the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Work morale has a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline at the Medan City Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade Office, as seen from the data processing results. The calculated t-value is 2.607 > t-table of 1.99 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, hypothesis H2 is accepted and H0 is rejected. The work environment does not significantly influence employee work discipline at the Medan City Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade Office, as seen from the data processing results. The calculated t-value is 1.391 < t-table of 1.99 with a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05. Leadership, work morale, and the work environment simultaneously significantly influence employee work discipline at the Medan City Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade Office, as seen from the calculated F-value of 13.368, which is greater than 2.74 and a significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Pelindo Multiterminal, a government-owned company, with the aim of determining the effect of job training, work environment, and job satisfaction on employee productivity. The research population was 43 employees working in the company's HR performance learning division, and the sampling was carried out using saturated sampling, resulting in 43 respondents. The type of data used was primary data, while the data sources were secondary data. Data collection techniques used were literature studies, surveys, and observations. Data analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that job training, work environment, and job satisfaction partially and simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. There was a strong correlation between job training, work environment, and job satisfaction with employee productivity, with a percentage of 56.10%, and the remaining 43.9% could be explained by other variables not studied.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the effects of employee engagement, career development, and compensation on job satisfaction among employees at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Binjai City. A quantitative approach with an associative design was employed. The population consisted of all 42 employees of BNN Binjai City, and a saturated sampling technique was applied, meaning the entire population served as the research sample. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, partial tests (t-test), simultaneous testing (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings from the multiple linear regression reveal that, individually, employee engagement, career development, and compensation each exert a positive and statistically significant influence on job satisfaction, as indicated by significance levels below 0.05. The simultaneous test further demonstrates that these three variables collectively have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, with a significance value lower than 0.05. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) shows that employee engagement, career development, and compensation account for a substantial proportion of the variance in employee job satisfaction, while the remaining variance is explained by other factors not included in this study. These results suggest that strengthening employee engagement, implementing well-structured career development programs, and providing fair and proportional compensation systems are key factors in enhancing employee job satisfaction at the National Narcotics Agency of Binjai City.
