Abstract

In this era heavily influenced by the development of communication and information technology, every child must have the right to access other materials from various sources. Unfortunately, information and communication technology development is not free from its negative impact on children. The online realm has revealed information that is inappropriate and negative for children, even creating forms of interaction on various social media that lead to violence or bullying, and even trigger sexual violence. Cases of child sexual exploitation and violence in the realm of courage certainly require the attention of all parties around the child, such as parents, teachers, community leaders, legal officials, and so on. In this context, service providers have an essential role in preventing and handling cases of sexual violence in the realm of violence that has already occurred, so that the negative impacts on children do not persist and can be resolved immediately. This article discusses the role of service providers in protecting child victims of sexual violence in the realm of courage, as well as efforts to develop the capacity of service officers in safeguarding child victims.
