Abstract

heutagogy approach is a learning strategy that gives students freedom in determining their own learning methods, resources, and strategies. This approach focuses on developing learning independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, which are key in facing educational challenges in the digital era. This study uses a literature review approach by analyzing various academic sources and online articles that discuss the implementation of heutagogy in elementary school learning. Data were collected from relevant research journals and scientific reports to understand the effectiveness and challenges in the application of heutagogi. The analysis shows that heutagogy can increase learners' intrinsic motivation, strengthen lifelong learning, and help them develop adaptive skills in the face of change. However, the implementation of this approach faces challenges such as students' readiness to learn independently, the skills of educators in guiding heutagogi-based learning, and limited access to educational technology. In order for heutagogy to be implemented effectively, there needs to be a combination strategy, such as blended learning, as well as training for educators and the provision of adequate infrastructure. With the right strategy, heutagogy can be an innovative solution to create elementary school students who are more independent, creative, and ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

This research endeavors to examine the efficacy of employing Kahoot-integrated interactive animated tools to stimulate the learning enthusiasm of third-grade pupils at SD Negeri 3 Purwawinangun in the subjects of Science and Social Studies (IPAS). The method used in this study was quantitative with a non-equivalent control group design. The study encompasses 40 students, categorized into both experimental and control divisions. The instruments utilized for gathering data encompass surveys gauging learning interest, observational assessments, dialogues with participants, and documentary evidence. Analytical procedures applied to the data encompass normality assessments, homogeneity evaluations, an autonomous sample t-test analysis, and computations of N-Gain scores. The results indicate marked variations in learning interest levels between pupils exposed to Kahoot-supported interactive animated resources and those educated via standard methodologies. This medium has been validated to amplify student participation, encourage energetic involvement, and cultivate an agreeable educational atmosphere. Thus, the employment of Kahoot-integrated interactive animated tools is demonstrably effective in elevating students’ eagerness to learn IPAS within the context of primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of literacy programs and their impact on students' reading skills at SDN 2 Bandorasawetan. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects were third-grade students, teachers, and the principal. Data were collected through observation of literacy activities, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation in the form of activity records and school facilities. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results showed that the literacy program had a positive effect on improving students' reading skills. The success of the program was supported by the implementation of a 15-minute reading activity every Wednesday using various techniques, the availability of supporting facilities such as libraries and reading corners, and the active involvement of the entire school community. However, several obstacles were also found, namely the low reading interest of some students, gaps in basic reading skills, and limited support from outside the school environment, especially from parents. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between schools and families in optimizing the success of literacy programs.
