Abstract

This research was conducted because of the important role of professional teachers in improving the quality of learning, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMAN 2 Bogor. It was found that the learning methods used were less effective and students lacked attention when studying. The aim of this research is to find out what the professionalism of PAI teachers at SMAN 2 Bogor is like in teaching; and how the role of professional PAI teachers can help improve the quality of PAI learning. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and school officials, and viewing learning documents. After that, the data is analyzed by simplifying, compiling and drawing conclusions from the information obtained. The research results show that PAI teachers at SMAN 2 Bogor have tried to teach professionally. PAI teachers at SMAN 2 Bogor use effective methods by adapting their classes for this purpose. The teacher's efforts to improve the quality of PAI learning have had a positive impact, although they still need to be improved, especially in terms of creativity and innovation

Abstract

Batik sebagai warisan budaya Indonesia adalah seni rupa terapan yang bukan hanya indah tetapi juga sarat makna filosofis, simbolik, dan kultural, dengan setiap daerah memiliki motif khas yang menjadi identitas lokal sekaligus medium ekspresi budaya masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk struktur visual motif batik karya Muhammad Farizky Afdillah dalam batik Joyo Harjo Sidoarjo serta menganalisis penerapan pandangan estetika Theodor W. Adorno dalam memahami karya tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan estetika kritis. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi visual, wawancara dengan perancang batik, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif batik yang diciptakan oleh Muhammad Farizky Afdillah memiliki struktur visual yang harmonis, menggabungkan elemen geometris dan organik yang sarat makna simbolik lokal. Dalam perspektif estetika Adorno, karya batik ini dapat dipahami sebagai bentuk ekspresi otonom yang tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilai budaya di tengah arus komodifikasi. Meskipun sebagian produksi batik dijadikan seragam, nilai estetika dan kritik sosial tetap dapat ditelusuri melalui pemaknaan simbolik dalam motif-motifnya. Dengan demikian, batik Joyo Harjo dapat dilihat sebagai bentuk seni yang berada dalam dialektika antara tradisi, modernitas, dan industri budaya.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of guyub rukun dance in elementary school learning as an effort to preserve local culture and strengthen character education. guyub rukun dance was chosen because it contains noble values such as togetherness, mutual cooperation, and social harmony that are relevant to the character formation of elementary school students. In addition, the simple dance movements and dynamic music are in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school-age students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research data is in the form of information about the form of presentation, values, and the process of integrating guyub rukun dance in learning. Data sources include teachers, students, dance artists, and related documents. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation of the learning process, in-depth interviews with informants, photo and video documentation, and literature studies related to guyub rukun dance. Data validity was obtained through triangulation of sources, methods, and theories. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the integration of guyub rukun dance is effective in: (1) increasing students' understanding of local culture, (2) developing motor skills and creativity, (3) fostering character values such as cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility, and (4) creating a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. This study recommends the importance of integrating traditional arts in learning to preserve local culture while forming positive character in students.
