Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbantuan media interaktif berbasis puzzle terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa SMA. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Selesai pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 180 orang, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas X-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa kelas X-2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman konsep matematika yang dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan Independent Samples t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 89,17 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 82,08. Uji t-test memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,012 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Project Based Learning berbantuan media interaktif berbasis puzzle terbukti berpengaruh positif dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa secara lebih efektif dibandingkan metode konvensional. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by interactive puzzle-based media on high school students' conceptual understanding. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tanggal in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all 180 grade X students, while the sample consisted of 36 grade X-1 students as the experimental class and 36 grade X-2 students as the control class selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument was a mathematical concept understanding test analyzed using descriptive statistics and an Independent Samples t-test. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 89.17, higher than the control class's score of 82.08. The t-test obtained a significance value of 0.012 <0.05, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. Thus, the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by interactive puzzle-based media has been proven to have a positive effect and can improve students' mathematical concept understanding more effectively than conventional methods.
