Abstract

This article is a compilation of the author's outreach to fellow lecturers regarding tips on how to avoid predatory journals. The lecturers involved in this outreach came from several universities especially Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Indonesia, Doktor Nugroho University of Magetan Indonesia, Doktor Nugroho University of Magetan Indonesia and Antasari State Islamic University of Banjarmasin Indonesia. The author sincerely hopes that after this outreach, all lecturers targeted in this article will be able to choose higher-quality journals and avoid predatory journals, which have the various characteristics explicitly and comprehensively outlined above. By avoiding predatory journals, the author believes the quality of lecturers' research will continue to improve in the coming periods

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based learning (PjBL) integrated with arts on the socio-emotional development and creativity of early childhood. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving 28 Group B children at TK Angkasa, Magetan Regency. The intervention was implemented in five PjBL stages: project introduction, collaborative planning, implementation of art activities (drawing, collage, and loose parts installation), project presentation, and reflection. The observation sheet was used as the main instrument, and data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test with SPSS version 26. The results showed a significant increase in socio-emotional scores (from 11.86 to 15.43) and creativity (from 12.14 to 16.07), with a significance value of p < 0.05. Qualitative findings also indicated that children actively participated, collaborated effectively, and expressed themselves creatively. These findings suggest that art-based PjBL is effective in developing young children’s social skills and creativity.

Abstract

Minat baca siswa di Indonesia, terutama di tingkat sekolah dasar, masih tergolong rendah, yang mempengaruhi kemampuan literasi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buku cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada siswa kelas 1 di SDN 01 Palur, Madiun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Produk yang dikembangkan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, dan uji coba lapangan, lalu divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku cerita bergambar yang dikembangkan valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Uji efektivitas dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca siswa. Oleh karena itu, buku cerita bergambar ini layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.Abstrak artikel harus menuliskan hal-hal umum mengenai penelitian kepada pembaca.

Abstract

Pembelajaran seni rupa memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini, namun praktik pembelajaran di lembaga PAUD masih sering terbatas pada aktivitas meniru dan penggunaan media yang kurang bervariasi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan anak kurang memiliki kesempatan untuk bereksplorasi dan mengekspresikan ide kreatifnya secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas anak usia dini melalui pembelajaran seni rupa berbasis eksplorasi material. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok B di TK Dharma Wanita Kuwon 1. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi terstruktur dan dokumentasi hasil karya anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas anak pada setiap siklus pembelajaran, yang terlihat dari meningkatnya kemampuan anak dalam mengekspresikan ide, memanfaatkan berbagai jenis material, serta menghasilkan karya yang lebih beragam dan orisinal. Pembelajaran seni rupa berbasis eksplorasi material juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih aktif, menyenangkan, dan bermakna. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran seni rupa berbasis eksplorasi material efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran seni PAUD yang berpusat pada anak dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the competence of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in designing and implementing educational gardening learning based on child-friendly agriculture as an effort to stimulate the development and formation of environmentally conscious character in early childhood. PKM was implemented at Trate Mas Maospati Kindergarten, with PAUD teachers as the primary target, while early childhood children became indirect beneficiaries. The implementation method included preparation, socialization, mentoring, learning practice, as well as reflection and evaluation. Socialization focused on introducing the concept of child-friendly agriculture and the benefits of gardening activities for early childhood development. Mentoring was carried out through guidance in preparing lesson plans and direct practice of simple gardening activities that are safe and appropriate to the characteristics of children. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding and skills of PAUD teachers in integrating gardening activities into daily learning. Teachers were able to design more contextual learning activities based on direct experience. In addition, children demonstrated active involvement in planting, caring for, and observing plants, which had a positive impact on motor and cognitive stimulation, as well as environmental awareness.
