Abstract

Acute gastroenteritis (GEA) is one of the most common diseases in children around the world, including Indonesia. The impact of GEA if not treated immediately can cause dehydration. This study aims to apply nursing care to An. H with hypovolemia nursing problems using the nursing process, namely: assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This type of research is descriptive with a case study form. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation, physical examination, supporting examination, and documentation with focal data of liquid stools ˃5x a day and vomiting ≥3x a day. The interventions applied are hypovolemia management and fluid monitoring with the main nursing actions of fluid rehydration. After taking nursing actions on An. H with acute gastroenteritis in treatment for 3x24 hours shows that the diagnosis/nursing problem of hypovolemia associated with active fluid loss can be resolved. It can be concluded that nursing care by providing rehydration is the first aid to prevent dehydration and restore lost body fluids during diarrhea

Data analysis in this case study was carried out descriptively including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while the patient was in the emergency room. Management of deep breath relaxation techniques, monitoring respiration and monitoring oxygen saturation carried out during patients in the emergency room can affect the improvement of the patient's tightness condition as evidenced by decreased dyspnea, improved breathing frequency, and improved oxygen saturation. It is hoped that patients can carry out the diets given and families provide support during the treatment process to improve the patient's quality of life

Abstract

Hemorrhoids are dilated blood vessels in the anus that originate from the hemorrhoidal plexus, which will cause discomfort resulting in swelling commonly called hemorrhoids or hemorrhoids. The purpose of this study was to describe the identification of nursing care in patients with a medical diagnosis of hemorrhoids in the Kemuning room of Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency. This research method is a qualitative descriptive research conducted at Waled Hospital. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and medical record documentation studies. The main focus of the research is on the nursing problems that arise, such as acute pain, and the interventions provided, such as relaxation techniques. The results showed that relaxation techniques are one of the effective interventions in reducing acute pain in patients with hemorrhoids. Before the intervention, patients often experience pain with a scale level of 5, which is shown by grimacing expressions. However, after doing relaxation therapy, the patient's pain scale decreased to 3, and the patient's expression seemed calmer. This study implies that non-pharmacological techniques such as relaxation can be a practical companion to pharmacological therapy in pain management in hemorrhoidal patients. Emphasis on holistic and individualized nursing care is essential in improving the quality of care for patients with this medical condition.

The research methodology employed was descriptive qualitative, focusing on holistic nursing care for patients with Paranoid Schizophrenia at Room Lily 12 of RS Soerojo. Through comprehensive observation and interviews with patients, families, and the healthcare team, along with medical record analysis, this study explores the patients' experiences in various aspects of social interaction and responses to interventions, aiming to develop individualized and holistic care strategies. Therapeutic approaches utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and schizophrenia counseling. Nurses play an active role in the formulation of a comprehensive care plan that includes medication, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family support, which has been shown to strengthen self-concept. Collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals adds a medicinal and holistic dimension to the care plan.

Abstract

Pain and discomfort in pregnant women arise due to uterine contractions which are a physiological response to labor. The pain that arises after childbirth is the body's natural response to tissue damage during labor. Childbirth pain can be caused by uterine contractions, cervical dilatation, fetal expulsion or birth canal tears. As many as 99% of maternal deaths are caused by childbirth problems that occur in developing countries. Based on the problems and impacts caused, pain management is needed to reduce the pain. The purpose of this case study is to provide nursing care to G1P0A0 patients who experience labor pain. Using a qualitative approach with case studies as the main method, using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation studies. The case study selected 1 patient as the subject of study, namely a patient with G1P0A0 in the Maternal Emergency Room, RSUD Waled Cirebon. Nursing care management is based on the fulfillment of patient needs carried out in 1 day. The case study results indicate that after nursing care was provided, there was a reduction in pain levels. It is concluded that nursing care is effective for G1P0A0 patients experiencing labor pain, in meeting the patient's needs.
