Abstract

ABSTRAK. Ketersediaan pakan secara berkelanjutan dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan ketersediaan sumber daya alam, salah satunya yaitu menggunakan teknologi silase dengan memanfaatkan jenis rumput rawa yaitu Bento Rayap (Leersia hexandra) dan bioaktivator mikroorganisme lokal (MOL) yang berasal dari bonggol pisang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi silase rumput Bento Rayap dengan menggunakan MOL bonggol pisang. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kandungan protein kasar, lemak kasar dan serat kasar. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, meliputi: P0: rumput Bento Rayap tanpa penambahan MOL (kontrol), P1: rumput Bento Rayap + 3% MOL bonggol pisang, P2: rumput Bento Rayap + 6% MOL bonggol pisang, P3: rumput Bento Rayap + 9% MOL bonggol pisang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aktivator MOL bonggol pisang berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap nilai protein kasar dan serat kasar, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai lemak kasar. Penggunaan MOL bonggol pisang dengan taraf 9% pada silase Bento Rayap merupakan perlakuan terbaik yang dapat meningkatkan nilai protein kasar rumput Bento Rayap dari 5,35% menjadi 12,87% dan menurunkan kandungan serat kasar rumput Bento Rayap dari 27,57% menjadi 16,19% dengan kandungan lemak kasar yaitu 2,16%. Kata kunci: Lemak kasar, MOL bonggol pisang, protein kasar, serat kasar, rumput bento rayapThe Use of Local Microorganism Activator (MOL) from Banana Stems on the Nutritional Content of Bento Rayap Grass (Leersia hexandra) SilageABSTRACT. Sustainable feed availability can be achieved by utilizing natural resources. One of the technologies that can be used is silage technology that utilizes a type of swamp grass, namely Bento Rayap grass (Leersia hexandra) and local microorganism bioactivators (MOL) from banana stems. This study aims to determine the nutritional content of Bento Rayap grass silage using MOL. The parameters measured were crude protein, crude fat, and crude fiber content. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, namely P0: Bento Rayap grass without adding MOL (control), P1: Bento Rayap grass + 3% banana stem MOL, P2: Bento Rayap grass + 6% banana stem MOL, and P3: P1: Bento Rayap grass + 9% banana stem MOL. The results showed that the use of banana stem MOL as an activator had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the crude protein and crude fiber content, but had not significant effect on the crude fat. The use of banana stem MOL at a level of 9% in Bento Rayap silage was the best treatment, which was be able to increase crude protein content by 12.87% and decrease the crude fiber content to 16.19% with a crude fat content of 2.16%.

Abstract

The limited availability of forage during the dry season and the suboptimal capacity of farmers in Kota Daro II Village, have contributed to insufficient feed supply for cattle and reduce livestock productivity. The potential of available natural resources offers a viable solution to ensure feed continuity throughout the year. The utilization of swamp grass and agricultural waste through the application of haylage technology can serve as an alternative feed source during the dry season. This activity was a community service program aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of farmers in Kota Daro II Village in utilizing swamp grass haylage supplemented with cassava leaves as an alternative feed source during times of feed shortages. This activity was carried out at the Kota Daro II Village Hall on October 8, 2025, with education and training methods for farmers through counseling on the introduction of haylage technology and training, demonstration of haylage production, which was attended by 25 farmers. Evaluation of haylage results after 21 days of storage to see physical quality and palatability testing of haylage. The results showed that the knowledge, understanding, and skills of farmers in Kota Daro II Village had improved regarding the application of haylage technology in utilizing swamp grass and agricultural waste as alternative feed during the dry season. The training was increased farmers’ understanding by 40–46% regarding haylage technology using swamp grass and agricultural waste. Additionally, the interest and motivation of farmers on how to make haylage was quite good, which was marked by a 100% attendance percentage and 60% farmers in interactive discussions.

Abstract

Penambahan bunga telang dan daun stevia dalam formulasi yogurt merupakan salah satu diversifikasi pangan yang bertujuan sebagai pangan fungsional untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan nilai nutrisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi karakteristik organoleptik dan nilai pH yogurt yang difortifikasi dengan bunga telang dan daun stevia. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan, yaitu P1 = yogurt original (kontrol); P2 = yogurt + ekstrak bunga telang 5% + bubuk daun stevia 1%; P3 = yogurt + ekstrak bunga telang 10% + bubuk daun stevia 2%; serta P4 = yogurt + ekstrak bunga telang 15% + bubuk daun stevia 3%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi nilai pH dan karakteristik organoleptik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yogurt dengan penambahan bunga telang dan daun stevia memiliki nilai pH sesuai standar mutu dan mampu meningkatkan karakteristik organoleptik yogurt. Formulasi yogurt terbaik adalah 10% bunga telang + 2% bubuk daun stevia dengan nilai pH 4,11, warna putih kebiruan, aroma khas yogurt, rasa manis, dan tekstur kental. Formulasi yogurt terbaik sebagai inovasi minuman fermentasi adalah yogurt dengan penambahan 10% ekstrak bunga telang dan 2% bubuk daun stevia berdasarkan nilai pH dan karakteristik organoleptik.
