Abstract

The main challenge in developing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era is low digital literacy and limited use of promotional platforms such as Facebook Ads. This community service activity aims to enhance MSME actors’ capacity to optimize Facebook Ads as an effective and affordable digital marketing tool. The implementation method involves practical training and interactive workshops engaging 10 MSME participants in Samarinda, with direct guidance from university students. Evaluation was conducted using pretest and posttest assessments. The results show that participants’ average understanding scores increased from 8.1 to 14, indicating a 73% improvement, which reflects significant enhancement in digital marketing hard skills. Moreover, participants successfully created business accounts, designed ad campaigns, and interpreted ad performance independently. The program also positively influenced participants’ self-confidence and readiness to promote their products digitally. These findings suggest that targeted digital marketing training can significantly empower MSME actors in the adoption of online promotional strategies, fostering more competitive and digitally savvy business practices.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) as an innovative learning medium in Islamic History courses at universities. The main issue raised is the low level of student interest and understanding due to conventional teaching methods that tend to be abstract. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach, examining reputable journals and academic books published between 2020 and 2025 that are relevant to the use of VR in education. The results show that VR can improve understanding of historical concepts, motivate students, and encourage active engagement through immersive learning experiences. Previous studies also confirm that VR helps students understand historical contexts more realistically, strengthens historical thinking skills, and improves information retention. Additionally, this technology supports andragogical learning and student-centered approaches. This study demonstrates that VR has great potential as a strategic medium for deepening the learning of Islamic History.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan dan motivasi kerja pegawai melalui pendekatan komunikasi dan apresiasi di Perumda Tirta Kencana Kota Samarinda. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif partisipatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui dokumen internal perusahaan seperti Data Pegawai 2025, Rekap Pelatihan 2024, dan Data Apresiasi Pegawai 2025, serta dilengkapi dengan observasi lapangan dan wawancara informal dengan pegawai. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan komunikasi internal yang lebih terbuka serta program apresiasi yang konsisten mampu meningkatkan motivasi, disiplin, dan kepuasan kerja pegawai. Pegawai merasa lebih dihargai, lebih aktif dalam kegiatan pelatihan, dan memiliki rasa tanggung jawab yang lebih tinggi terhadap pekerjaan. Dalam jangka panjang, kegiatan ini turut mendorong terciptanya budaya kerja yang lebih harmonis dan partisipatif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa komunikasi yang efektif dan penghargaan yang adil berperan penting dalam membangun semangat kerja dan loyalitas pegawai terhadap organisasi.
