<![CDATA[Bali sebagai destinasi wisata dunia telah dikenal oleh berbagai kalangan tidak terkecuali bagi komunitas LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, Transgender). Meski dikenal dengan pariwisata dengan pariwisata budaya, fenomena pink tourism atau pariwisata LGBT muncul dan hidup bersama dengan masyarakat Desa Adat Seminyak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kemunculan fenomena pink tourism di Mixwell Bar di Seminyak, serta melihat persepsi Pemerintah Daerah dan masyarakat Desa Adat Seminyak menanggapi fenomena tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif secara deskriptif dengan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fenomena pink tourism muncul sebab adanya kebutuhan bagi wisatawan LGBT untuk dapat berwisata tanpa menerima diskriminasi oleh lingkungan sekitar. Seminyak sebagai sebuah kawasan wisata yang sangat berkembang, memiliki sebuah tempat yang dikenal sebagai gay bar dan dipercayai mewadahi komunitas LGBT yang bernama Mixwell Bar. Hal ini yang mendorong wisatawan LGBT berbondong-bondong mendatangi Seminyak demi mendapatkan kebebasan yang mereka inginkan. Pemerintah Daerah menganggap bahwa aktivitas pink tourism tidak selaras dengan konsep pariwisata Bali berbasis budaya. Namun di satu sisi lainnya, masyarakat menilai wisatawan LGBT sebagai pendongkrak ekonomi melalui bidang pariwisata, tetapi tidak mengakui komunitas tersebut sebagai manusia yang benar. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, peneliti berharap informasi yang telah diperoleh dapat dipertimbangkan untuk kebijakan pariwisata Bali kedepannya. Bali as a global destination has been recognized by various of people including the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community. Despite of being known for its cultural tourism, the pink tourism phenomenon exists and lives together along with the locals of Seminyak village. This research aims to discover the existence of pink tourism at Mixwell Bar in Seminyak as well as the perception from the locals and the government toward the happening phenomenon. This qualitative-descriptive research used snowball sampling to determine the population. The result shows that the pink tourism phenomenon exists due to the motivation from LGBT community to aim freedom of travelling without any discriminations toward them. Seminyak as a developing tourist area, has a gay bar that is considered as a safe place for the LGBT community, and is called Mixwell Bar. This motivates the LGBT community to visit Seminyak in order to get the freedom they need. The government confirmed that pink tourism is not in line with the cultural tourism in Bali. However, the locals see the LGBT tourists as economic stimulus through tourism industry, but do not acknowledge them to have a legal behavior.
