Abstract

This study examines the influence of price and promotion on purchase intention of thread products at PT. Hoja Indonesia, with Perceived Quality as a moderating variable. The textile industry, particularly thread manufacturing, is vital for supporting downstream industries, and understanding consumer behavior is essential for maintaining competitiveness. Using a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and SmartPLS 4 software, this study employed saturated sampling with 40 respondents, including customers and business partners purchasing thread products from PT. Hoja Indonesia. Both the measurement and structural models were analyzed to assess relationships among price, promotion, perceived quality, and purchase intention. Results indicate that price has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on purchase intention, while price significantly influences perceived quality. Promotion significantly impacts purchase intention but does not affect perceived quality. Perceived quality itself significantly affects purchase intention, highlighting its critical role in shaping consumer behavior. Moderation analysis reveals that perceived quality’s interaction with price and promotion influences purchase intention, though not significantly. These findings suggest that while perceived quality is crucial, its moderating role is limited. Companies should implement integrated marketing strategies that enhance promotional activities and strengthen consumers’ perceptions of product quality. This study contributes to consumer perception-based marketing strategies in the textile sector, particularly for thread products.

Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive literature review on the agricultural trade relationship between Australia and Indonesia. Anchored in their economic complementarity and regional proximity, this bilateral trade has evolved into a strategic partnership. Through a thematic synthesis of recent studies and policy documents, this review highlights key developments, regulatory frameworks, and economic impacts of trade in food and agricultural commodities. The analysis underscores the significance of trade agreements such as the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), the challenges posed by sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, and the potential of digital innovation and sustainability to shape future trade. This review aims to provide insights for policymakers and researchers by contextualising agricultural trade as a pivotal aspect of regional cooperation and food security.

Abstract

The synergy between intellectual capital (IC) and absorptive capacity (ACAP) plays a crucial role in driving innovation across both manufacturing and service sectors. This paper bridges insights from Industry 4.0 and the AI- and 5G-enabled transformation of hospitality to explore how firms can leverage IC and ACAP for sustained innovation. Drawing upon a multidimensional conceptual framework, this study explores the dynamics between human, structural, and relational capital, and the potential and realized dimensions of ACAP in enhancing innovation performance. Industry 4.0’s emphasis on cyber-physical systems and data-driven manufacturing is juxtaposed with the hospitality sector’s pivot toward hyper-personalized services enabled by AI and 5G. The study reveals that both sectors share a dependence on dynamic knowledge capabilities, even as they diverge in application. This article proposes a sector-spanning integrative model of innovation and provides actionable managerial and policy-level recommendations to build knowledge-rich, adaptive, and innovation-driven organizations.
