Abstract

The village serves as both a unit of government and a social living space closest to the community's daily life; consequently, various forms of social friction such as disputes between residents, family conflicts, land boundary disagreements, and minor quarrels frequently arise within it. Addressing these issues requires an adequate understanding of the law to ensure they are resolved appropriately without escalating into larger conflicts. This community service initiative was an individual program undertaken as part of the Student Community Service (KKN) by a student from Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk in Luk Village, Peling Tengah District. It employed a restorative justice approach an alternative dispute resolution method emphasizing the restoration of relationships, the fulfillment of victims' interests, and the accountability of offenders. The activity aimed to foster legal awareness among residents and introduce restorative justice principles as a peaceful yet legally grounded method for resolving disputes. The implementation process involved stages of observation, coordination, material preparation, outreach/dissemination, and evaluation, engaging the village government, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), community leaders, traditional leaders, youth, and general residents. The outreach session was attended by dozens of participants from various segments of society, who demonstrated great enthusiasm during both the presentation and the Q&A session. The results indicated an improvement in participants' understanding of legal concepts, the characteristics of a Law-Conscious Village, restorative justice principles, and the scope of their application; the activity also underscored the strategic role of village officials and traditional leaders in maintaining social order. This initiative represents a crucial first step toward building a culture of law based on deliberation (*musyawarah*) at the village level, a process that should be followed up with periodic legal education involving law enforcement agencies and higher education institutions.

Abstract

Labibi Village possesses local food resources that can be developed into processed products with economic value. One commodity with development potential is *keladi* (taro). However, the community's utilization of taro remains limited; thus, processing innovations are needed to enhance its added value and marketability. The assistance program for producing taro chips aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of the Labibi Village community in processing taro into food products that offer added value and business opportunities. The activity employs a participatory approach comprising observation, extension services, hands-on practice, evaluation, and ongoing guidance. The processing stages include raw material selection, peeling, washing, slicing, frying, draining, seasoning, and packaging. The results indicate that the community acquired new knowledge and skills regarding hygienic and systematic taro chip processing techniques. Beyond production skills, the community also gained an understanding of the importance of product quality, packaging, and marketing opportunities for business development. Providing assistance in processing local commodities serves as a strategy to increase the added value of agricultural produce and foster community economic empowerment. Through this initiative, taro chips are expected to be developed into a signature food product of Labibi Village with the potential for wider market reach.

Abstract

Effective and transparent village administrative governance is a cornerstone of achieving good village governance. However, limited understanding and skills among village officials often serve as major obstacles to accountable administrative management. This community service initiative aims to enhance the capacity and capabilities of officials in Popisi Village, Peling Tengah District, Banggai Kepulauan Regency, through a program involving outreach and guidance on village administrative governance. The implementation method involved direct mentoring provided to the Popisi Village government. The process comprised several stages: initial observation, coordination with the village government, and the mentoring sessions themselves, which were held at the Popisi Village office and attended by village government representatives. The desired outcome of this activity was to improve the village government's knowledge and ability to implement the Peling Tengah District information system. The program successfully raised awareness among village officials regarding the importance of administrative orderliness in delivering superior public services. Sustaining this program requires periodic digital mentoring to ensure consistent governance performance at the village level.

Abstract

This Community Service activity was conducted in Tolulos Village, Peling Tengah District, with the aim of enhancing the knowledge and skills of village government officials and MSME operators in using spreadsheet applications to assist with administrative and data management. The identified issues stemmed from limited proficiency in systematically inputting, processing, calculating, and presenting data using spreadsheet software. The activity employed a training and hands-on practice approach, preceded by preliminary observation and coordination. The training curriculum covered an introduction to spreadsheet applications, table creation and management, data entry techniques, the use of basic formulas, and the preparation of simple data summaries. Participants were given the opportunity to apply the material directly using sample data relevant to village administration and business management needs. The results demonstrated an improvement in understanding and skills regarding data entry, table creation, and the use of simple formulas for calculations. For the village government, spreadsheets facilitate administrative record-keeping, while MSME operators can utilize them to track income, expenses, and sales figures. This activity is expected to enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of data management while fostering the independent use of digital technology.

Abstract

The availability of complete, structured village data that accurately reflects actual field conditions is essential for supporting governance, public services, and targeted development planning. The initiative to assist in the creation of the Tombos Village Profile aimed to support the Tombos Village government in systematically and informatively collecting, processing, verifying, and presenting data regarding the village's conditions and potential. The activities were carried out through observation, coordination, interviews, data collection from village documents, visual documentation, and direct guidance during the data processing and profile compilation stages. The project involved a group of students acting as facilitators and the Tombos Village government as partners; however, the specific number of participants in each group was not stated in the report. The results indicate that data concerning geographical conditions, demographics, village governance, facilities and infrastructure, socio-economic aspects, and village potential were successfully gathered and organized more systematically. For the village government, the activity fostered a better understanding of the importance of accuracy, management, verification, and periodic data updating. For the students, it provided practical experience in collecting, processing, and presenting data in collaboration with the community. The initiative produced a more comprehensive and informative village profile that can serve as a valuable information resource and a basis for development planning. The direct involvement of the village government was a crucial factor in ensuring that the resulting data accurately reflected real-world conditions and community needs.
