Abstract

The customer's voice regarding maintenance of the components inside the cabin is hampered and the control panel continues to be uncomfortable due to the lack of ergonomics in the Lighting Tower design. Access to maintenance is obstructed by the walls and cabin doors and then the control panel, which is even more than the operator control panel, needs to bend while doing the Lighting Tower. The customer's voice is processed by the method of why the analysis is to find out the root of the problem. Then improvements are made to the design of the operator's access design based on ergonomic principles on the Modular Lighting Tower unit that is related to the control panel. The results of the treatment are maintenance and ergonomic operation with maintenance not hampered by cabin walls or doors and the operator control panel door does not need to bend.

Abstract

PT. Kayaba Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi shock absorber, yangproduknya digunakan oleh hampir 90% industry otomotif di Indonesia. Plant 2W (2 Wheeler) adalah bagiankhusus yang mengatur jalannya produksi untuk kebutuhan kendaraan roda 2 dan pada bagian ini terdapatbeberapa divisi, salah satunya adalah divisi Process Engineering (PCE). Pada part inner tube (ruang fluida)berdasarkan data defect periode Bulan Agustus 2019-Januari 2020 ternyata defect pecah mempunyaipresentase paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 23,9%. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut menggunakan metode sixsigma dengan konsep DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, Control), dan diketahui terdapat 12jenis defect yang terjadi dengan dibagi menjadi 3 area yaitu raw material (pinhole raw material, pinhole process,bending), grinding area (Scratch, dent, spiral oval,kasar), dan plating area (upper kosong, bitnik plating,tipis,pecah). Setelah dilakukan analisa lebih lanjut dengan bertanya kepada pihak yang bersangkutan dan mencaridari berbagai literatur, penulis menyarankan beberapa usulan perbaikan berupa pengadaan alat test untukmendeteksi pinhole pada raw material dan melakukan kegiatan membersihkan anoda sebelum anoda di pasang.Hasil dari penelitian ini mmbuat material yang mengalami defect pinhole dapat tersaring dengan adanya alatpengecekan tersebut dan juga adanya upaya pemebersihan anoda.

Abstract

GZB is a manufacturing company engaged in the two-wheeled automotive sector, whose production process includes various processes such as casting, plastic injection, machining, assembling, painting steel, painting plastic, press, welding, and final inspection. In the production process, the company has potential losses in production such as potential reject parts and lost production time, which should not be included in the company's production target. Researchers make observations and genba in the field to analyze the causes of production lost time and reject parts, especially in the casting section. Lost production time is the main focus of this research because this has an impact on reject parts as well. The purpose of this research is to find the right solution to reduce production lost time caused by downtime maintenance dies. A solution for making a portable scaling tool was found because this solution was the best choice in terms of time availability, human resources, and researcher analysis. This tool is designed to be portable so that it can be easily moved and used in hard-to-reach places. The research method used is 8 steps with the support of 7 tools. Tests were carried out on Type M dies. The test results showed that using this portable scaling tool can significantly reduce downtime. This tool has the potential to increase operational efficiency and productivity. Keywords: Portable Scaling Tool, Casting, Downtime, Eight Steps and Seven Tools, Production Lost Time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak gudang material coil di PT XYZ dengan menggunakan model tata letak U-shape untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan stok. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi meliputi kesulitan pencarian material, stok berlebih, dan waktu pengambilan barang yang lama. Melalui analisis data permintaan dan perancangan tata letak baru, penelitian ini berhasil menurunkan jumlah titik penyimpanan sebesar 12%, sehingga membuka peluang pemanfaatan ruang tambahan untuk kebutuhan penyimpanan model baru tanpa perlu memperluas area gudang. Selain itu, penambahan fasilitas kontrol stok yang lebih sistematis juga mendukung peningkatan kecepatan pelayanan dan pencapaian target operasional perusahaan. Implementasi tata letak U shape ini menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap efektivitas kerja gudang PT XYZ.
