Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a musculoskeletal disease that often occurs in old age and disrupts the musculoskeletal system, characterized by the appearance of joint pain and stiffness, resulting in a decrease in physiological abilities or quality of life. Pain management can be done with pharmacological or non-pharmacological therapy. This writing aims to discuss the nursing care provided to Mrs. S.L at Ranomuut nursing home. The intervention given to treat the main complaint of chronic pain is pharmacological drug administration and non-pharmacological administration, namely warm red ginger compress therapy and cutaneous stimulation. After the intervention, there was a decrease in the pain scale, namely from 7 to 5 after 5 hours of nursing action. The conclusion in this study is that intervention to treat pain can be carried out using pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. Researchers suggest that health workers and patients who experience pain due to rheumatoid arthritis can use non-pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

Fracture is a condition of broken bones, either partially or completely, due to strong physical impact or pressure. The severity of this injury is influenced by factors such as the strength and direction of the impact, the condition of the bone, and the surrounding tissue (Siam, 2023),The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Cold Compress Therapy on Reducing Pain Levels in Patients with Closed Fractures of the Extremities Emergency Room of Bhayangkara Hospital Class III Manado. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research research design using the pre and post test group design approach respondendt population in this study were all patients with closed fractures of the extremities who were treated at the Emergency Room of Bhayangkara Hospital as many as 21 respondents The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test showed a p Value of 0.000 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there is an average difference between the pretest and post test. The conclusion of this study there is an effect of cold compress therapy on reducing pain levels in patients with closed fractures of the extremities in the Emergency Room with a p value 0.000 0.05.

Abstract

Gastritis is inflammation of the gastric mucosa caused by irritation and infection. Gastritis can occur suddenly (acute gastritis) or gradually (chronic gastritis). Gastritis includes inflammatory processes or health problems caused by irritation and infection factors in the gastric mucosa and submucosa. Gastritis is commonly known as ulcer disease. The aim of this research is to gain real experience and knowledge and be able to document the application of deep breathing relaxation techniques to pain intensity in gastritis nursing care. This research method is this type of scientific writing using a descriptive method with a case study approach to explore the problem of nursing care for patients with gastritis. Nursing care was provided to the patient Mr. A.K was carried out on 18-19 Juni 2024. From the results of nursing care for Mr "A.K" the first diagnosis was acute pain related to a physiological agent (inflammation of the gastric mucosa). The results of the evaluation of the patient Mr "A.K" showed that the pain had decreased, before the breath relaxation technique was carried out on a pain scale of 5 (moderate), and after the breath relaxation technique was carried out on a pain scale of 3 (mild), the pain problem was resolved, and the intervention was stopped because the patient was outpatient.

Abstract

The use of postpartum contraception in Indonesia is still considered suboptimal, even though postpartum contraception improves maternal and infant health by extending birth intervals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. The type of research is observational analytic with cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all breastfeeding mothers at the Tumpaan Minahasa Selatan Health Center totaling 59 people. The sample in this study was the total population. The results of the study showed that most respondents used hormonal contraception as many as 45 people (76.3%) and respondents who used non-hormonal contraception as many as 14 people (23.7%). Smooth breast milk production was 41 people (69.5%) and those who did not produce breast milk were 18 people (30.5%). The Chi Square statistical test obtained a p-value = 0.003 <0.05. There is a significant relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Suggestions from the study are expected that breastfeeding mothers can maintain their psychological condition and use appropriate contraception so that breast milk production will not be disturbed and remain smooth.
