Abstract

Acute respiratory tract infections (ARIs) are still a public health problem at present. This disease is very dangerous because it can be a precursor to pneumonia and stunting in children. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of ARIs in Akelamo Village, East Sahu District, West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, Indonesia. Crosssectional methods were used in this research. The total population was 52 children which were then calculated using proportional sampling techniques to obtain 37 children as the research sample. The research results show that the child's nutritional status and the mother's education level have a significant relationship with the occurrence of ARIs. Therefore, the role of health workers is very necessary to provide education about the use of local food to improve children's nutrition and education about preventing ARIs needs to be carried out more intensively.

Abstract

Fracture is a condition of broken bones, either partially or completely, due to strong physical impact or pressure. The severity of this injury is influenced by factors such as the strength and direction of the impact, the condition of the bone, and the surrounding tissue (Siam, 2023),The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Cold Compress Therapy on Reducing Pain Levels in Patients with Closed Fractures of the Extremities Emergency Room of Bhayangkara Hospital Class III Manado.The type of research used is quasi-experimental research research design using the pre and post test group design approach respondendt population in this study were all patients with closed fractures of the extremities who were treated at the Emergency Room of Bhayangkara Hospital as many as 21 respondents The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test showed a p Value of 0.000 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there is an average difference between the pretest and post test. The conclusion of this study there is an effect of cold compress therapy on reducing pain levels in patients with closed fractures of the extremities in the Emergency Room with a p value 0.000 0.05.

Abstract

Low Back Pain menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kecacatan global dengan prevalensi tertinggi pada individu berusia 50-55 tahun. Data WHO (2020) mencatat 619 juta kasus secara global, diperkirakan meningkat menjadi 843 juta pada 2050. Di Indonesia, Riskesdas (2021) melaporkan terdapat 12.914 kasus. Studi menunjukkan 50,30% pasien di IGD mengalami Low Back Pain. Low Back Pain dapat menghambat mobilitas dan menurunkan kualitas hidup. Teknik effleurage massage sebagai terapi relaksasi non-farmakologis dapat mempercepat pemulihan nyeri dengan menggunakan sentuhan tangan untuk menimbulkan efek relaksasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan Effleurage Massage pada pasien Low Back Pain di IGD RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan literature review. Subjek studi kasus ini melibatkan satu pasien dengan diagnosis medis Low Back Pain dengan teknik sampel purposive sampel yaitu menggunakan kriteria inklusi terdiri dari klien dengan Low Back Pain, usia > 50 tahun, bersedia menjadi responden, dan dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan wawancara, observasi, pemeriksanaan fisik, dan pengukuran tingkat nyeri menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan tingkat nyeri sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk narasi untuk menggambarkan perubahan tingkat nyeri pada pasien. Pada penelitian ini dihasilkan bahwa terapi Effleurage Massage berhasil mengurangi skala nyeri dari skala 5 (sedang) menjadi skala 3 (ringan) pada pasien dengan Low Back Pain. Terapi Effleurage Massage diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi perawat IGD dalam manajemen nyeri non farmakologis, guna mengurangi keluhan nyeri pasien khususnya penderita Low Back Pain di IGD.
