The Indonesian government, through Presidential Regulation No. 97 of 2017, set the target of Indonesia Clean from Waste 2025, yet progress remains limited. Early education on waste management is therefore a crucial strategy. The PILAH (Smart Waste Management at School) program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of students at SMP Negeri 1 Kutawaringin in managing waste and to encourage innovative ideas. The intervention combined lectures and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), with evaluation using pre-test and post-test. Results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores, with 87.5% of students improving their post-test scores. The PILAH program effectively enhanced students’ knowledge and commitment to waste management and has the potential to be replicated in other schools as a contribution toward the Indonesia Clean from Waste 2025 target. Keywords: Waste, Students, Knowledge, Waste Management, Focused Group Discussion, Sanitation.
