Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah (Piper crocatum) terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes. Daun sirih merah dipilih karena diduga memiliki kandungan senyawa sebagai agen antibakteri seperti flavonoid, alkaloid,tanin, dan minyak atsiri.Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan metode non randomized control group design dengan periode prospektif. Ekstrak di maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% dan diuapkan hingga diperoleh ekstrak kental. Ekstrak dibuat 3 konsentrasi berbeda yaitu 30%, 60%, dan 90%. Kontrol positif berupa klindamisin dan kontrol negatif berupa DMSO. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi sumuran terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes dengan mengukur diameter zona hambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata diameter zona hambat yang terbentuk setiap sampel yaitu pada konsentrasi 30% sebesar 7,40 mm, konsentrasi 60% sebesar 8,90 mm, dan konsentrasi 90% sebesar 11,20 mm. Sedangkan hasil analisis data menggunakan metode Mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai signifikan p<0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna diantara kelompok-kelompok percobaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah memiliki aktivitas terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes dengan konsentrasi yang paling efektif yaitu 90%.Kata Kunci: Daun sirih merah (Piper crocatum), Ekstrak Etanol, Difusi Sumuran, Antibakteri, Propionibacterium acnes.

Abstract

The cooperation between parents and teachers has a good impact in improving student learning outcomes. This is because parents are able to see the development of their children / students through teachers and or vice versa. A teacher is able to get information about his children / students through parents. This study aims to determine the relationship between parents and teachers in trying to improve the learning outcomes of children / students in Sei Siur Village, Pangkalan Susu District by conducting interviews with parents and people who work as teachers in the village. The result of this study is that the relationship between parents and teachers can be done by doing good communication to ask about the development of children / students and the difficulties of children / students in learning. And each parent has its own efforts in improving the learning outcomes of their children / students such as repeating lessons, registering children / students to take lessons, and arranging children's / students' learning and play schedules and so on. This study found significant results that the relationship between parents and teachers in improving children's / students' learning outcomes can be done by doing good communication to ask about the development of children / students and the difficulties of children / students in each learning.
