<![CDATA[Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan majas innuendo dalam novel Natsume Soseki "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru". Fokus penelitian adalah menemukan dan memahami bagaimana majas innuendo digunakan dalam novel. Penelitian ini juga menggali makna dan fungsi dari penggunaan majas innuendo dalam novel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Natsume Soseki menggunakan majas innuendo secara intensif dalam novel "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru" untuk menciptakan efek hinaan yang samar. Penggunaan majas innuendo ini mencerminkan pandangan kritis penulis terhadap masyarakat dan budaya pada masanya. Melalui penggunaan majas innuendo, penulis berhasil menghidupkan karakter-karakter dalam novel dan menghadirkan nuansa hinaan yang khas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan majas innuendo dalam novel "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru" menciptakan efek sastra yang kompleks dan menggambarkan realitas sosial. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan lebih lanjut tentang penggunaan majas innuendo dalam karya sastra Jepang klasik dan pentingnya majas ini dalam mencapai efek kritik. kata kunci : Kritik Sosial, Majas Innuendo, Novel Wagahaiwa Neko de Aru Abstract The aim of this research is to analyze the use of innuendo figures of speech in Natsume Soseki's novel "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru." The research focuses on discovering and understanding how innuendo figures of speech are employed in the novel. The study also seeks to explore the meaning and function of using innuendo figures of speech in the novel. The research findings reveal that Natsume Soseki extensively employs innuendo figures of speech in the novel "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru" to create a subtle sense of mockery. The use of innuendo figures of speech reflects the author's critical perspective on society and culture during that time. Through the use of innuendo figures of speech, the author effectively brings the characters in the novel to life and presents a distinctive atmosphere of mockery. This research concludes that the use of innuendo figures of speech in the novel "Wagahai wa Neko de Aru" creates complex literary effects and portrays social realities. The findings of this study can provide further insights into the use of innuendo figures of speech in classical Japanese literature and highlight the significance of these figures of speech in achieving critical effects.
