Abstract

This research aims to develop an automatic cold brew coffee brewing device based on the Atmega 328 to overcome the problems of lower-extraction and over-extraction that often occur in manual brewing methods. The process of brewing cold brew coffee, which takes up to 12 hours, often causes the risk of the coffee tasting not being optimal if not monitored carefully. The tool developed in this research uses an Atmega 328 microcontroller, timer, relay module, and 5V water pump to control the extraction duration automatically and the research method used is Research and Development (R&D). Test results show that this tool can regulate extraction with high time accuracy and produce coffee with optimal density for a duration of 12 hours.Keywords: Cold Brew; Automatic; Timer; Arduino; Atmega 328. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat penyeduh kopi cold brew otomatis berbasis Atmega 328 guna mengatasi masalah lower-extraction dan over-extraction yang sering terjadi pada metode penyeduhan manual. Proses penyeduhan kopi cold brew yang memerlukan waktu hingga 12 jam sering menyebabkan risiko rasa kopi yang tidak optimal jika tidak diawasi dengan cermat. Alat yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan mikrokontroler Atmega 328, timer, modul relay, dan pompa air 5V untuk mengontrol durasi ekstraksi secara otomatis dan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini dapat mengatur ekstraksi dengan akurasi waktu yang tinggi dan menghasilkan kopi dengan kepekatan optimal pada durasi 12 jam.
