Abstract

Heteonormativity is a view that makes transwomen a subject of discrimination and stigma. The discrimination and stigma received by transwomen in Cianjur Regency are inseparable from the construction of the Cianjur community, which is predominantly by Islamic values as the basis for society to normalize these actions. Cianjur is a city in West Java that has a strong history of Islamic movements in West Java. The life of the Cianjur people is influenced by Sundanese and Islamic cultures, which mingle in the joints of the community's social, cultural, and political life. Srikandi Panghegar exists as a community that fights against heteronormativity in Cianjur Regency. This study uses the theory of social movements from the perspective of LGBT, as proposed by Mary Bernstein (1997) with a qualitative research method using a case study approach, the results of this study explain the spread of identity as a method used in collective action as the goal of social movements in terms of gaining acceptance of stigmatized identities to change institutions. However, Srikandi Panghegar Cianjur has not yet reached the stage of changing institutions because movement mobilization is still focused on the community itself and movements only on a small scale at the district level. The spread of identity can then be examined in two forms: identity for critique (identity for criticism) and identity for education (identity for education).

Abstract

AbstractRegional Head Elections (Pilkada) will be held simultaneously in Tangerang Regency in 2020. People's sovereignty is intended for the community to always give their voting rights, so that it is carried out by all levels of society, both from the majority and even minorities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the trans women group in Tangerang Regency itself as a minority group is involved in the election contestation in 2020. The theory used in this study is the subaltern theory, and the research method used is a research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, where qualitative This descriptive study seeks to understand social problems that occur in society based on data that has been taken as theoretical material for a phenomenon under study. The result of this research is that the involvement of Transwomen in Tangerang Regency is still very minimal in terms of political contestation. The participation of transwomen does not show the significance of equal rights in accessing and being involved in the Pilkada.Keywords: Pilkada, Transwomen, Political Participation AbstrakPemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) terselenggara secara serentak di Kabupaten Tangerang pada tahun 2020. Kedaulatan rakyat diperuntukkan kepada masyarakat untuk senantiasa memberikan hak pilihnya, sehingga hal tersebut dilakukan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat baik itu dari masyarakat mayoritas bahkan minoritas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelompok transpuan di Kabupaten Tangerang sendiri sebagai kelompok minoritas ikut terlibat dalam kontestasi Pilkada di tahun 2020. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori subaltern, dan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, di mana kualitatif deskriptif ini berusaha dapat memahami permasalahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat berdasarkan data- data yang telah diambil sebagai bahan teoritis terhadap suatu fenomena yang diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah  keterlibatan Transpuan di Kabupaten Tangerang masih sangat minim dalam hal kontestasi politik. Partisipasi transpuan pun tidak menunjukkan adanya signifikansi persamaan hak dalam mengakses dan terlibat Pilkada.Kata Kunci : Pilkada, Transpuan, Partisipasi Politik
