Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pengembangan kurikulum di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SD IT) Al-Bina, Dharmasraya, Sumatra Barat. Latar belakang penelitian adalah pentingnya pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk karakter dan nilai spiritual peserta didik. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah memahami strategi implementasi kurikulum berbasis nilai Islam, tantangan yang dihadapi, serta dampaknya terhadap prestasi akademik dan keterampilan non-akademik siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, dan analisis dokumentasi kurikulum. Analisis dilakukan dengan triangulasi data untuk memastikan validitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dilakukan melalui pembiasaan harian, keteladanan guru, dan pendekatan tematik dalam pembelajaran. Tantangan utama meliputi keragaman siswa dan keterbatasan waktu.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools plays a strategic role in developing scientific thinking, critical attitudes, and life skills from an early age. However, science instruction in elementary education is still often dominated by conventional approaches focused on memorization of concepts. This article aims to comprehensively examine the transformation of science learning through innovative learning approaches and models, namely inquiry learning, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), cooperative learning, and the STEM approach, in fostering 21st-century skills. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing textbooks and relevant scientific sources related to elementary science education. The results indicate that innovative learning models effectively enhance students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. Therefore, transforming science learning through innovative approaches is essential to improving learning quality and aligning elementary education with the demands of the 21st century.
