Abstract

The development of service businesses is increasing rapidly in the modern era, so business competition is getting tighter. Companies need to innovate by providing quality products at affordable and innovative prices according to market needs to attract customers. Customer decisions in ordering costumes are influenced by the quality of the products and services provided. Both of these play an important role in the success of a service business, attracting new customers, retaining them, and creating a competitive advantage. Customer satisfaction is the key to business success, because consumers will return if they are satisfied with the products and services offered. Abstract

Research aims: Amid rising global geopolitical upheaval, geopolitical risks progressively influence market volatility, particularly in Indonesia. This study examined the relationship between sustainable performance and stock price crash risk (SPCR), with geopolitical risk as a moderating variable.Design/Methodology/Approach: Data were collected from companies with environment, social, and governance (ESG) scores in the Refinitiv database over 2019-2023, resulting in 236 observations. Data analysis was conducted using the system generalized method of moments (GMM) approach, effectively addressing small sample size and endogeneity.Research findings: ESG performance imposed a negative and significant impact on SPCR. Furthermore, integrating ESG and geopolitical risk could reduce a stock market crash risk. A robustness test using coarsened exact matching provided consistency in these results.Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study introduces geopolitical risk as a moderating variable in the ESG-SPCR relationship, an area underexplored in current literature, particularly within Indonesia’s stock market. The results support the buffering hypothesis, reinforcing the need to incorporate geopolitical risk assessment while mitigating market crashes through ESG practices.Practitioner/Policy implication: Insights from this study guide policymakers and investors in mitigating market risks by integrating ESG performance and geopolitical risk assessment, particularly in environmental management,Research limitation/Implication: Reliance on a single ESG rating source may limit generalizability. Future research should incorporate multisource databases to capture measurement divergence.

Abstract

There are three types of businesses in Indonesia based on their activities: service, trading, and manufacturing. The operational characteristics of these three types of businesses are not the same. In accounting for all types of businesses, journals are the first accounting record. Journals play a crucial role because they significantly influence financial statements, the final product of accounting. Mistakes in journal entries will result in errors in the preparation of financial statements and will certainly mislead users of financial statements in decision-making. Younger generations, such as students, need an understanding of accounting journals, especially journals for trading companies, to face future challenges. The problem faced by partners is that many students are interested in accounting topics but have limited time in class, making it impossible to practice questions in depth. The solution to this problem is for Kristoforus High School, in collaboration with the UNTAR PKM team, to provide training on journaling systems for trading companies. The PKM activity method is divided into several stages. First, developing a module on journaling systems for trading companies. Second, providing general concepts regarding journaling systems for trading companies. Third, the program provides specific conceptual guidance on journaling systems for trading companies, along with sample questions. The final stage involves independently completing practice questions and quizzes. The PKM activity, conducted offline on September 23, 2025, at Kristoforus High School, proved effective in addressing partner issues. This was evident in the students' enthusiasm and satisfactory quiz results.
