Abstract

This study aims to analyze the juridical and socio-cultural aspects of the implementation of mixed marriage laws in Indonesia. Mixed marriages, involving partners from different religious or ethnic backgrounds, have become increasingly common with the rise of mobility and cross-cultural interactions. However, the implementation of laws governing these marriages often encounters various challenges, both administratively and socially. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, gathering data through interviews with mixed-marriage couples, civil registration officials, and legal document analysis. The findings reveal that although formal regulations, such as Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage, exist, their practical application varies and often poses challenges for mixed-marriage couples. From a socio-cultural perspective, the stigma and social pressure faced by these couples are significantly influenced by cultural and religious backgrounds in different regions. The analysis using progressive legal theory indicates that Indonesian law needs to be more adaptive to serve the needs of an increasingly pluralistic society. The symbolic interaction theory helps explain that the stigma surrounding mixed marriages is constructed through social interactions and can be transformed through public education and inclusive social campaigns. This study concludes that legal reform and enhanced social understanding are necessary to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for mixed-marriage couples in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article examines the construction of family law in Indonesia from an Islamic legal perspective, focusing on conceptual review and implementation within the national legal system. As the largest Muslim-majority country, Indonesia integrates Islamic legal principles into family law through regulations such as the Marriage Law No. 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), which serve as guidelines for religious courts. This study utilizes a literature review method to analyze various sources discussing Islamic legal principles in marriage, divorce, child custody, and inheritance. The findings indicate that while Islamic family law has successfully adapted within the national legal context, challenges remain, particularly concerning gender equality, child protection, and the need for flexible legal interpretation. The relevance of Islamic law in Indonesian family law requires contextual ijtihad to address contemporary issues without compromising its core values. This study underscores the importance of engaging scholars, academics, and stakeholders in reforming Islamic family law to align with social justice principles within Indonesia's multicultural society.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how Islamic Religious Education isundergoing Digital Transformation: The use of e-learning, LMS, and InteractiveMedia. In addition, this study also aims to identify various challenges andopportunities that arise in the use of digital technology. This study uses a literaturereview. The primary data used in this study was obtained directly from articlesrelated to Islamic Religious Education in Digital Transformation and collectedthrough an open journal system. The results of the study reveal that digitaltransformation through the use of e-learning, LMS, and interactive mediacontributes positively to improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education.Digital technology can expand access, increase flexibility, and make the learningprocess more interesting and interactive. Students have the opportunity to learnindependently while being facilitated in more dynamic academic discussions.However, obstacles in the form of limited infrastructure and educator competenceremain challenges that need to be overcome.
